Our cake topper will be Homer & Marge. I’m having it custom made by an etsy seller. It will look similar to this one, except Marge’s dress will resemble mine and her bouquet will be purple.

Here’s ours– we ordered it from Paris, since we honeymooned there (and took a bicycle tour!).

Oh, I love those lobsters!!

Our cake topper is so cheesy it’s cute!! My fiance is an avid fly fisherman and I showed him this cake topper in a magazine (kind of) as a joke and he LOVED it!!  I mean was obsessed and HAD to have it.  I wasn’t crazy about it, but I got it and am going to surprise him with it.  He has no idea since we’re having cupcakes and I told him a cake topper wouldn’t work.  He’s going to love it. And it’s actually grown on me a little and I think it’s pretty cute now.

OMG I love the lobsters too! "you are my lobster"

I dont think we will be doing a topper. our cake will be having a huge fondant ribbon on the top that cascades down the cake so anything on top of the cake I think would make it too busy!

Wow, some of the toppers on here are really pretty!  Most of the ones I’ve seen before now have been really cheesey!  I was planning on doing flowers only, but now that I see they’re not all cheesey, I might have to keep looking!

@Bizz1011 – I love your topper!  Do you still know who you ordered it from?

they have custom cake toppers at etsy.com/goosegrease, I didn’t find out about them until after I got married, but I would have used them. It would be a modern take of your parent’s cake topper. But for our wedding cake it was a sugar flower.

I think we might just do a monogram. We haven’t really decided yet. It’s one of those things that just low on the priority list!

@Viva – we ordered from pixiboutique.com .  When i ordered a little more than a year ago, I had to order by email and pay via paypal, as their website was not the best.

As I see now, however, their website has been updated, and I think you can order online. http://www.pixiboutique.com/pixi-mariage-maries-velo-wedding-cake-topper-xml-4393_4442_4453-7437.html

I loved this topper because it was small, and now we have it displayed in our home as a knick-knack (with aspirations of using it as a christmas tree ornament).

My Fiance and I will be having toppers which rememble the mascots of our Alma Maters. His, a Knight for the University of Central Florida, and mine, a Gator for the University of Florida.

You can check out my blog post about them on my blog http://www.GatorBride.com:

We got them handmade by bunnywithatoolbelt on Etsy
