I am on the look out for, of course, gnomes.  (When I told my mother, she laughed and laughed and laughed some more. She apparently finds gnomes an absurd idea.) We have a couple gnomes that used to be Christmas ornaments and are the perfect height and weight for a cake topper, but they are both male (my avatar is one of them).  I have found that female gnomes are hard to come by (not to mention a lot more hideous than their male counter parts).  I’ve looked all over Etsy, but the closest thing I have found are wool-felted gnomes.  If we can’t find anything else, it’ll be another DIY item to add to the list

Here are mine I love them.  You can get them custom made from Mudcards on Etsy.com;)  There only like $45 to $55 and she will make go as far as copying your hair, dress flowers and all colors.  She is amazing!!!

for the gnomes- maybe there are figurines of Lisa from the David the Gnome show that used to be on tv? This is what they look like, in case nobody knows what I’m talking about:

I love the lobsters… they are so cute and remind me of Sebastian from the Little Mermaid! And then I just remember “Kiss the Girl” and get all mushy

We really like having a monogram topper, but after seeing the lovebirds there might be a change!  Those are super cute!

@EllyMay: Where did you get your topper?

I can’t decide between two.  I would love to have something that reflects my career as a photographer, this was as close as I could get.

and this one’s just really cute!

I love Etsy!! I need a topper that went with my koi fish theme. But most ‘fish’ themes involve a beachy feel or ‘fishing’. I found someone on Etsy that made goldfish in a fishbowl cake toppers. She worked with me and created this for only $23.
