The top of ours will have sugar flowers.  I knew I did not want any sort of traditional cake topper or monogram/inital…. it was always between real or sugar flowers for me.

Here is a pic of my inspiration cake.  Im going to have them do the flowers in pastel pink, peach, and ivory for a little pop of color.  Our real flowers will be those colors too.

We didn’t have a cake, but we still had a topper. I was planning on cupcakes so I had already bought these cupcake toppers, and it ended up being perfect for the croquembouche.

We’re doing a large sugar flower on the side of the cake (in between the top and second layer) so we won’t have anything ON the top.

Our cake topper was the Chinese symbol for “double happiness” along with 2 folded origami cranes (we folded 1000 in total and used them throughout the ceremony and reception areas as decoration).
