I get all jelous ever time someone posts their “custom” wedding toppers. (I know I am a bad bee for coveting anothers topper)I olo9ve the cute little Birds, or awesome other things… but I guess I always thought I wanted my bride and groom to you know look like ME.
I am “full figure” Bee with a very unique dress (the neckline and back are not like ANYTHING else. Pics) So I am bound to either have a topper that looks NOTHING like me… or pay several hundred dollars for a truely custom one. (most cusom ones are just a few details like straight neck or sweetheart blone to brown hair.. not a total body makeover)
So what is a Bee to do? Go without? opt for some cute animal? deal with the fact that my bride is just some skinny little thing in a generic white dress?
DIY… sigh I have so many DIY projects and no sculpting talent so this option although the most logical is my least favorite.
anyway I guess I am just being picky.
Have any other bigger bees experienced topper envy? What did you do?

i was in the same boat. have you thought about maybe making it yourself? i’m sure there is a topper tutorial somewhere on this site, and you can just change the spec’s to fit your needs, or try http://www.fundeliver.com. they make custom toppers or figurines based on a photo you send them. we just did a swarovski crystal monogrammed m. i love it.

there are sellers on etsy who make customized cake figures for under $100 out of polymer clay. each one is very individualized, iMO.

Maybe you could find an esty store that could have a cute animal wearing the dress and tux but have them specially make the dress like yours? That way it does have all the cute details but wont cost a ton of money because it won’t be a ‘total body makeover’ ?

you could go another direction with a symbol of your theme.

The woman who made my topper (urastarhouse) from Etsy made us a custom mountain, replicated our outfits, captured our facial expressions, made my skinny cat skinny, and my chubby cat chubby…you name it. I had one done a as a family portrait for my Bridesmaid or Best Man. Her partner is tall and slim, and my Bridesmaid or Best Man is stockier. Heather nailed their proportions exactly. I’m sure she could make your body just the way you want to see it in your special dress with your special groom.

Last summer my cousin had hers custom made from someone on Etsy – I’ll check with her and let you know! She’s a full figured beautiful bride and even had her doggies on it – it was ADORABLE! I’ll follow up.

I did my own! One peg was square the other was curvy, so I went with the curvy one!

hum never heard of custom made toppers..sounds cute but not necessary many toppers you like can do,…dont have to look like you! in italy or finalnd,in europe i guess they dont make custom made,,,,(cose usually they are o´made of plastic or porcelain…i personally ordered from UK very cute one,,,and thye got niothing to do with us..it just represent in my opinion spring, since thye are under an umbrella,.and we get married in april….and here spring is always raining,,,,dont know but i dont stress about my wedding so much to have everything soo perfect….(theme wedding dont exist in our culture…people just take care of flowers and i dont know anyone who matches the colour scheme to everything….I maybe was the only one i know among all weddings that have tried to mach cake, favors, the church runner,flowers..but thats it…i thought the more i want the more stressfull the wedding plan become,,,i noticed on this board brides take too much stress on every small details…i know we all want wedding to be perfect,,but remember too high expectation more stress and disappointing the wedding can be if not like you planned or wish..so if you find that custom made is great if not just dont obsess about!!!:)happy wedding to u too
