Fiance and I actually decided to go with cupcakes TODAY! IDK why, they seem pretty cool lol and no cutting fees! We plan on having a small cake on top that we can cut into. You can also pick a bunch of different flavors!

We are doing both! I really want cupcakes for a variety (and because of my love for the cupcake bakery down the street!) but I compromised because my Fiance is a bit more traditional and would like to cut the cake. So we are going to have a smaller tiered cake as well.

I really want a cassata cake and I’m not sure how that would translate as cupcakes. I just want a big fancy cake (the way most girls want a big fancy dress!)

I prefer a cake, I just think it looks more elegant.

Cupcakes are delish though, and sometimes they really fit the theme of the wedding.

I am actually thinking of doing cupcakes as well.  Also, some venues charge a cake cutting fee per guest ( which is rediculous by the way), so if that was the case with me, I might be more inclined to do cupcakes.

We’re having a very traditional 5-tiered cake… and lots of cupcakes and a table covered in cakes.

    We like cake!

I love a traditional cake!  Beautiful and elegent.  And you can still do different flavors within each tier.

We considered cupcakes but discovered that our venue (like most) will still charge a fee if they have to provide napkins, silverware or plates for any cake substitute including cupcakes. Since the idea of my formal guests walking around with sticky/messy fingers and cupcakes wrappers made me go crazy we opted to suck it up and pay for the cake and fees.

I do love how fun cupcakes are they make me happy.

I think cupcakes are great, but I’ve always wanted a multi-tiered traditional wedding cake.  However, I’m having pink cupcakes at a spa party the day before 🙂

We had cupcakes.  Easy peasy and self serve!

I like cake better – the icing/cake proportion is better (to me). Also, I don’t like eating cupcakes with my hands, they are too messy especially if they have tons of icing.

We are doing both, our cake will be served as the final course of our sit down dinner and we will have cupcakes in boxes to be given away with mini champagne bottles for our favors.
