This is what my wedding cake will look like, except ivory frosting with ivory and light pink roses. I looked for cake toppers but the ones I like are a bit much, almost $100. So then I thought of not having a cake topper.
But then I saw this picture of the same cake and it looks kinda empty without a topper. So now I’m rethinking and wondering if I should get a cake topper or maybe do roses for the topper, depending on costs. Or am I just overthinking it and it looks ok as is?

You could do something really simple for the top, though – maybe even just a couple more roses.

I think it looks great without the topper…but I really like simple…we are skipping the cake topper.

I think you definitely need a topper, but if you don’t want to spend that much on one, roses would be lovely and make it all look complete. 🙂

i think adding the roses on top would look pretty – i actually bought a cake topper that i LOVED but it was the very first wedding item i purchased and it ended up not matching my color scheme so i opted for roses, here is a pic so you can get an idea of how the roses look on top (ours were gumpaste roses, not real) i think real roses would look lovely.

I voted roses. I think then the layers will be perfectly even then…roses then cake and so one. But I am weird about that kind of stuff.

I also vote just adding a few roses at the top, less expensive than a topper, but it will make it look less plain on the top.

it is a lovely cake- but I would consider getting the roses – you would only need a few – for the cake topper.
