I have not been a prolific poster on the boards, but have definitely read along and picked up a tip here & there.
We had a beautiful, laid back affair that was all about amazing food, drink & just having a party. Like with any wedding, little things happened unexpectedly (a groomsman was so ill he only made it for the ceremony), but at the end of the day, things were just perfect and better than we had dreamed. Our focus was on getting married and then throwing an amazing party for those loved ones in our lives we had the pleasure of entertaining. We are hosts at heart, so our day reflected that. I would not change a thing.
If anyone is getting married in Calgary, message me and I can point you in the direction of some amazing vendors. 🙂
Rather than post a bazillion photos, here is a link to our photographer’s blog post of our wedding and if you REALLY are geeked for wedding recaps, a link to the slideshow she put together for us (it’s long but beautiful and perfectly summarizes our day.)

I love your flowers! Such beautiful colors. Since I live in Calgary too, I also love the skyline photo and want to try this restaurant now! Thanks for sharing 🙂

vesnushka: Thank you. 🙂 I am thrilled with all the special little moments our photographer and her second shooter caught throughout the day. I feel like we managed to see everything in the end – even the parts we did not see first hand.

prahajess: I love my bouquet too! I let my photographer run wild. I told her I wanted thistle & peonies and for it to be bright, but natural colours, not dyed. She nailed it. We definitely managed to have a great time with out guests. Thank you for the sweet compliments.

MissAusten: I love running I to fellow Calgarians! 🙂 You definitely need to go and splurge on a meal at Rouge sometime. If you can make it there in summer, it is a huge bonus, their gardens are beautiful and they grow so much of their own produce. I am glad we got some skyline shots. I grew up just outside of downtown, so many happy memories from watching that skyline change of the years.
