(Closed) california prenup help???

Gwendolyn88:  From what I understand, California has pretty strict community property laws, and for a prenup to really be enforceable, both parties have to have a lawyer representing their individual interests, and when we were looking into it we were quoted at least 5K, but maybe that’s just in our case because DH has significant assets. Personally we decided not to go through with it because we didn’t want to spend the money and his assets are pretty well protected anyways.

ETA: Ask a lawyer or two. Seriously. You should be able to talk to a lawyer a little bit for free and generally get better information than what you’ll get on the internet.
