Could someone move this post to venues?  I’m sure she’ll get a lot more responses this way.  If you look under venues and/or the local section under West you will find a lisiting under OC and Los Angeles.

I had looked into the Cabrillo Pavilion Arts Center in Santa Barbara on my massive, super long venue hunt. The view is gorgeous, on the beach without being on the sand, and it is surprisingly affordable–at least for Santa Barbara. I went with a different location, but this was in my top three. I actually live in Irvine and I have looked at the Newland Barn in Huntington Beach. Here’s the link: http://www.huntingtonbeachca.gov/Residents/Parks_Facilities/rentals/newland_barn.cfm

It’s really affordable, and mostly DIY, but the view is amazing and super close to both Irvine and Studio City. I don’t know if this is what you are looking for in a venue, but let me know if you have something else in mind and I’ll let you know what I know :). Good luck!

What is your budget and guest list count? Are you looking around OC? If you have a high budget, my personal favorites are Terranea in RPV, Montage in Laguna Beach, and Pelican Hill in Newport Beach for a hotel wedding. There’s smaller boutique hotels along the coast like the Surf and Sand in Laguna you can check out.

If you want to go a bit south, I love Casa Romantica in San Clemente. Canons Restaurant in Dana Point does intimate weddings. More north, the Long Beach Museum of Art was in our top choices. You can probably search the threads for more venue options, but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. Good luck!
