I could have sworn we were in a recession but so far, NONE of the potential vendors I’ve contacted for my Natural Touch wedding bouquets have responded to my quote request and it’s been over a week! Having worked in sales where my entire business was email quote based, if a potential client didn’t receive a response from me within 48 hours, it meant I was dead.
I just emailed reminders to them but this does not bode well. If they are this unresponsive before I give them my money, what does that say about the way they’ll respond once they have have the deposit?!
Does anyone have recommendations for responsive, quality websites for Natural Touch wedding flowers???
Getting a little desperate here.

That’s pretty dumb, you’re totally right! A terrible business way to do business. What are Natural Touch flowers?

Sorry you are having issues. If you keep having issues and want to do them yourself, here are a couple of sites I am consider for mine:
I received a sample from Flowers By Design and it looks so reall that I keep wanting to smell it. Another bee just got her silks from Afloral, and she is very happy with them.

@kirabee: I know, right?! Grr.
Natural Touch flowers are awesome. They are faux flowers that look pretty darn close to the real thing. I’m going with faux because I’m getting married in a remote location that doesn’t have a floral shop!

I know this is totally Not Wedding Related, but it is relevant – I rang a quarry today for a quote on a load of stone for our driveway, and twice they didn’t bother calling me back! Totally agreeing with you! You’d think they’d be mad for business!

@noritake22: Thanks for the recommendations! I’m a bit terrified of DIY-ing them but I might have to if these issues persist. 🙁
My dream was to just open a box and *POW!* there they would be!

If you are not opposed to “mail” ordering your flowers, I highly recommend an etsy seller.

Kelly is awesome and was always very responsive to my emails, etc. And she has great ideas.
Just a thought…

@cincychick35: Thanks for the recommendation. I just emailed her and within about 30 seconds, she’d responded to me. Seriously. I’m so excited!

Hurrah! I’ve received 2 quotes and they were both below my budget. Happy bride-to-be!

try angel’s accents:

I was in a wedding last June and the flowers came from her site. They wer INCREDIBLE like honestly could not tell they weren’t real until you touched them. If my aunt wasn’t a florist that would be the only way I would go!

I hear your frustration and are equally as shocked by the lack of service these days from vendors. No wonder so many small businesses collapse.

Several vendors told me that the wedding business has not suffered from the economy. With attitudes like this, I’m sure more people are going to go the diy route though.

I had the same issue with a DJ. I finally called another DJ and then the first one called us back. He’s way cheaper than the other DJs in town, so my Fiance wants to still go with him, but I’m nervous. We have no contract, it’s word of mouth and we pay the day of…no deposit. I hate when people don’t call or email back.
