(Closed) Calling a vendor who is unresponsive to email?

@LilDrAnya:  I found that most of my vendors stopped communicating promptly through email after we booked them, lol. Nature of the beast – there are always weddings happening before yours.

I think that if its only been a week, you should just sit tight and wait  – I’m sure they will get back to you soon! With a holiday weekend and the start of wedding season, they might just be really busy and catching up on emails. I’m sure you are in the que. 

If you are reaaaally worried, or they don’t respond soon, give them a call! It can’t hurt.

Most of my vendors have still gotten back to me within a day, even after booking. Once my photographer missed an email but she felt so bad about it when she did reply a week later.

@carrotstick:  It seems to be universal. I’ve heard it again and again on the boards. I understand it though! A wedding happening next weekend takes priority over a wedding happening in a month. 

OP, any word from your DJs though?

I’m glad I saw this. I didn’t know that it was so normal for vendors to be non responsive during wedding season. Explains why the officiant I’m working with isn’t responding all of a sudden. Hope you hear from your DJ soon – I know how annoying and nerve wracking it is!

@LilacViolet:  I noticed the same thing with almost ALL my vendors. Prior to booking, I would get a response in hours. After booking them, I wait at least 2-3 days for a response.
