@imanw:  It is 15-22” brazilian loose wave but my makeup artist did the babydoll curls for my wedding day. I love this hair. It holds curls well, straightens nicely and when it is washed, has a pretty wave to it.

Oh, I agree with pp. If your fiance loves your natural a lot and you really want to wear it that way, maybe you should!  I think you’d look fabulous either way. I understand the fear of having your natural do crazy things on the big day which is why I did the sew-in. But….if you can find a good natural stylist and test something out now, you can still wear it natural. “shesaidyes” is right. Naptural85 is wonderful. I’m hairstyle challenged so I didn’t bother. LOL!

I think micros/braids can look dated. You want your wedding style to be something that you will love looking at 30 years from now.

Perhaps you can do a weave and have someone style it like this:

Sew ins are soooo easy. If you’re trying to picture what you’ll look like, why don’t you take a trip to the beauty supply & try on a wig. Not exactly the same, but a similar effect. You can sweat, swim, have rigorous kinky bedroom action (complete with swinging your hair back & forth) without worrying about it. Wet it & put a few flexirods in before you go to bed at night & VOILA, gorgeous bouncy curls the next day. Or roll the length into a bun in the nape or two on the side & you’ll have waves in the a.m. Whenever I flexirod mine I can get 2 days of curls & beachy waves on the 3rd day.

So that’s my 2 cents on ease of styling.

Meanwhile you look wonderful with the micros to.

I have been natural afor 1 year and 6 months. I’ve worn sew in most of the time…curly style. For the wedding, I did 18in long loose waves. I loved it and it’s easy to maintain. I had all my hair sewn in and it still looks good as the first day. i had it done a week before the wedding. Nothing fancy since I was wearing a side ponytail but the loose curls looked great!  Here’s a pic with a friend on my wedding day.

I have never had any sort weave or extensions/braids (other than my own in my hair so I have no experience.  I have natural hair and I jst washed, blow dried, then flat ironed my hair and then styled it for the wedding.  Obviously cannot get it wet or it will go back to it’s natural state but I kept it like that for 2 weeks (unwashed).
