All of these dresses are gorgeous and you all look lovely. I haven’t tried on dresses yet but would love a ballgown. My wedding is in August. How hot are they!?, and is it difficult to get around any? How about using the bathroom!? lol

soontobewed2016:  To answer your q on the heat, it depends on your fabric and how many layers. If you’re in something light like tulle or organza, it shouldn’t be too bad. Satin on the other hand, I can see it making ppl boil if they try to wear it in the summer. Ofc, you could end up solving that problem by getting a hoop skirt to keep the fabric off of you. Mine is a tulle ballgown with a satin underlayer. I’ll be getting married in autumn, so unless it turns into an indian summer, I think I might just be able to survive, lol. My dress is also going to have a cathedral train, so I expect I’m gonna have to get some help from my mother and sister when it comes to potty time. I already know I’m gonna have to sit facing the toilet. It’s gonna be hilarious and awkward at the same time.

My dress! It is actually a two piece believe it or not. Watters/Nori. I love how i could choose where the waist fell, as I am short torsoed and had a hard time finding the right hight waist. And it’s Soo light and comfortable! I didn’t get to try any “underpuff” on with it but but you can see how it would look in the model pic at bottom ๐Ÿ™‚

Here’s my gown ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s my dream dress. Sorry it’s not a clearer photo… you get the idea though! It’s an off shoulder vintage. Corset Back. Satin with tulle and organza overlay. Has fine glass beading all over the back and bodice and beading on the skirt too. Loooooong train, it’s a cathedral ๐Ÿ™‚ No petticoat required, the skirt is very full. I found this by chance at a charity shop oneday, I paid a cool $50 for it. Saw an almost identical gown for $5000 while out with my mom. I scored! Cant wait for my big day <3

stephncollins:  I think we are dress twins!  Is that a Casablanca?

I love the beading!  I had cap sleeves added to mine because I feel uncomfortable in strapless. I get to wear mine in 41 days!

My skirt doesn’t look very fluffy in this pic. I’m still deciding if I want to wear any kind of slip underneath to make it bigger.

lindsayE:  WE ARE DRESS TWINS!! That’s exciting! All the threads for this dress are like 3 years old! I love the cap sleeves you added – you look SO beautiful in it! When I tried mine on after it came in, it was SO POOFY. I really want to tame the poof. Maybe mine was so poofy because it was huge when it came in, and will fit more like yours when it’s altered. How are you bustling yours?

The first picture is unedited, but the second and third I brightened or messed with contrast to show the detail since the lighting wasn’t great. This was just the sample size, so it will fit better later!

stephncollins:  My dress store ordered mine in the exact right size somehow – so the bustle and adding the sleeves were the only alterations I needed.  I don’t know what my bustles are called, but there are 3 of them and they did it in a way so that the beading on the train is still visible.  I didn’t think I’d want a ball gown at all, but I loved this one – especially all of the beading!

I tried on a few dresses and my group decided that ballgowns looked best. Here are a few I tried on. Please excuse my weird expressions, my group was randomly taking shots while I was talking ๐Ÿ™‚

Dress #1

Dress #2

princess1

Dress # 3

pockets3

Dress #4 (excuse the floppy cap sleeves)

cap13cap15

Dresses #1 & 2 were both no’s but I loved parts of them. The glitter in the skirt of dress #2 was amazing ( I think it’s the Alfred Angelo Cinderella 205)

I love dresses 3 & 4, especially the back on dress 4!
Not sure which one I will pick yet, or if I will keep looking.
