So my Fiance went to get his passport, and my travel agent needed our full names as they appear on the passport, and by the time i got her our info name all the “honeymoon” suites have sold out. and i’m pissed. i didn’t want the “platinum package” because….its my honeymoon!!!
So i’m thinking of firing her lol
and so here’s where ya’ll come in….my budget is $2800 max, i want an all inclusive adults only resort in the Caribbean. Any suggestions? Any places ya’ll rave about?
I’m stressed. seriously stressed we need to book asap!! =(
any help that can be passed along will be GREATLY appreciated!!

Maybe not exactly what you want (even though I’m sure it’s out there), but you should look into all inclusives in Mexico too. Oh, and I have heard about this website – www.cheapcaribbean.com/

Sorry to hear about that travel agent! she could have made the reservation with the name Snoop Dogg for all they care, as long as u have a credit card for a deposit. I would go with someone else, also.

Oh yeah, I would also check Couples – I’ve seen some posts here about the Couples Negril in Jamacia that sounded reasonable. The Grand Lido in negril was also recommended to me.

A couple years ago, I went to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico and stayed in an all-inclusive resort (Riveria Maya…I think). It was really nice. I don’t think we spent over $2500 for a 5 day/4 night stay and round trip flight. I’ve heard Mexico is kinda crazy right now though.

I would recommend our travel agent Katie from Easy Travel. If you give her your budget and tell her what you want, she could probably find something for you.

We’re going to Excellence in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. It’s adults only and had absolutely awesome reviews.
Why are you using a travel agent anyway? There are so many places on the web where you can shop and research the resorts. We ended up buying with travelocity but we checked cheapcaribbean, allinclusiveoutlet, orbitz, and expedia.

well i’m using destination weddings.com because ORIGINALLY we were having a destination wedding until my parents insisted it be here or they wouldnt pay for anything. ugh.
so i paid a deposit to get started w. a wedding, but when that fell thru they said i could still use them for my honeymoon. I guess too i’m a little nervous ill pick something shitty and have a terrible honeymoon =/

Definitely look into Couples. It’s couples only, all inclusive. And the real all inclusive too, like it includes all your watersports and everything. They have 4 locations in Jamaica (2 in Negril, and 2 in Ocho Rios). We got 6 days and nights, flights, all food and drinks for around your budget because they’re giving 50% off for fall dates right now.

I booked the Majestic Elegance resort in Punta Cana, DR, for $2400 for 7 nights! Best deal i found for a 2 year old all inclusive resort. It really looks fantastic and i did a lot of research. Jamaica was the other choice but honestly, the Couples were pricing a lot higher and Sandals was way above budget. Plus, that was for 6 nights. So i really think i scored with the PC deal (non stop flight too).
I booked through Orbitz. Good luck!
