Spent $250. Maybe could have spent more…like $400…then we would have had too much….but to some poeple there isn’t any such thing as too much. We DIY the flowerrs (well my aunt did…:) )

My bouquet had peonies, hydrengeas, and roses…..I wanted a cascade bouqetm and I even ordered a gala bouquet holder (a foam ball with a handle) to make them, but they were back ordered, and they didn’t come in till 2 dsays before the wedding (very very slow delivery) and I ordered it to my US POBOx that I have, but I wasn’t able to make it over to pick them up, and my aunt who said she would pick them up decided she didn’t feel like it (she works in the states and lives in Canada, she had time)…so because of that I didn’t get my cascade…I was so bummed and a little pissed…but I got over it)….

The plastic was taken off before people saw it…no worries

We had enough for 12 centerpeices. Each centerpeice had 2 of the 3 vases with some type of flower arragnment in them, all 12 were different.

another look at the bouquet

The only thing I wasn’t happy about was my bridesmaids bouquets, as I wanted them to have a more flowers…even if all babies breath, byut my aunt made them a little different….but I do like the ribbons…

The groomsmen didn’t want flowers what guy wants flowers,…so my DH and I decided to have them wear hankerchifs….my Dh worre a flower (I didn’t know that, my aunt just made him one)

We are planning on ordering flowers from Whole Foods. For my bridal bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquets, bouts for 9 guys and corsages for 4 women, it will be about $350. Our centerpieces are included with the venue.

@StephieBee:  I’m in LA too and was wondering- did you know the florist already or did you just go to the flower mart day of and randomly pick someone?

We only spent $500 on our flowers and that included 20 centrepieces, 6 big arrangements, 12 aisle decorations, 1 bridal bouquet, 4 Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquet, 5 corsages for Groomsmen, and 5 corsages for moms and grandmas.

I got a local lady who had her own flower farm to design all the bouquets. I found her on Kijiji. She used only what was from her garden except the Billy Buttons and the succulents which my grandma grew in her garden.

The succulent centrepieces were made by my grandma with stuff she had in her garden, and my grandpa made the boxes out of recycled pallets. Plus, I know they look like a bunch of weeds in a box, but their native to my region and I have a fascination with local succulents, so they were really important and special to me 🙂

I bought all the mason jars from the secondhand store for about $20.

@gromble:  Does it have to be fresh? We are doing rolled fake maple leafs and wheat. Spending about $40 inlcuding 300 maple leafs, floral wire and floral tape. Making bouts, bouquets and ceremony decor. Centerpeices are non-floral.

We spent about $500- that included 7 bouquets, 7 boutineers for Bridal Party, then 6 corsage/bouts for music people, and 11 coursage/bouts for parents/grands. For ceremony decorations, we paid about $50, because DH’s aunt put them together and taht was her gift to us.

I spent $95 on flowers. Period. Because the only flowers I bought was my bouquet (mostly sunflowers). Here’s how:

1. I got really lucky in that our venue’s site fee included simple flowers for the centerpieces.

2. We opted not to have a bridal party… so no extra bouquets or anything there.

3. Our parents did not need to have a special corsage or flowers to pin to their outfits.

4. We chose a naturally beautiful setting for our short outdoor ceremony.  We had the backdrop of the fall foliage and mountains… we didn’t need flowers to stick on the chairs, or an arch thing to get married under, or pedals to decorate the aisle.

I spent $200. However, my flowers are fake silk hydrangeas. I bought them off a lady from Kijiji who bought them for her wedding off Etsy. They are white hydrangea bouquets with beautiful broaches in all of them. I got my bride bouquet, and 6 bridesmaids bouquets for $200!

We ordered from fiftyflowers.com and spend about $1000.  I bought small vases at a thrift store and spray painted them all.  My sis and I did all the arrangments and she made the bouquets the day of.  We did snapdragons, ranunculus, dahlias and piaget roses (supposed to look like peonies).
