lumibride:  My dress was lace and I went with a two-tier Veil with a really thin trim. I took it off for the reception though because I added a lace bolero and didn’t want too much coverage.

I am doing a lace trimmed veil with my dress (without the sleeves and a different belt than the one pictured) . I think the veil is sheer enough that it’s not too much hopefully!

lumibride:   My dress’ silhouette was pretty similar to yours, as well as the neckline. I wore a raw-edged, unembellished three-tiered veil that was cathedral/waltz/fingertip length. It was super full and dramatic, which is funny because I originally planned on no veil at all

This one you can see the two shorter layers a little better.

I wore a beaded veil because lace felt too heavy but I didn’t want plain either. It was just enough bling with my belt and earrings. It had some small rhinestones and pearls on it and was fingertip length

I chose a single tier, thin satin edged silk veil (fingertip length).

Fingertip veil for me, the satin edging matches my little bow belt. Wanted to keep it simple bc the dress has a very lacy skirt…

lumibride:  Your dress looks beautiful!

I’d say go with whatever you want…. I don’t think there’s a right or wrong here.

I have a lace dress and have gone with a cathedral length mantilla veil. I was worried it would be too busy but at the end of the day, it’s your day so do whatever makes you happy 🙂

I haven’t had my wedding yet but here’s my dress and veil.

Good luck chosing something xxx

My dress:

My Veil:

So I’m going for a Cathedral length veil with little lace accents and a blusher. The two look just stunning together 🙂

I’ve also chosen a pearl and diamanté tiara which will be under the blusher and then be visible when the blusher is removed 🙂

stephisaur:  That is soooo gorgeous and would be perfect for my (extremely lacey) dress! Where did you find that veil – did you have it custom made? Thanks!

I have an alencon lace dress, and I’m making my own alencon lace trim cathedral drop veil.  I found the exact same lace as what’s on my dress hem!

I don’t have any pictures of the dress and veil together, but here is some lace-on-lace inspiration!
