My advice is to go try on a bunch of rings because what I thought I wanted is not what I ended up getting. My solitaire has a knife edge so I didn’t like how most bands fit up against it.  From the top, it looks like a thin gold band, but it has diamonds on the side so it raises up to match my ring height and I get some “hidden” extra bling.
