@basketballwifetobe:  Unless you are going for a theme, I tell my customers to dress like they do everyday.  If you are looking for a more formal look, go with something you would wear to a nice lounge, club, or dinner.  If you want a few outfit changes, mix it up casual and more formal.

Changing on location is always a challenge.  With the models I work with,  they typically rough it and change on set, or out in the open wrapped in a towel or behind a blanket.  Other typical places to change include cars, portajohns, or even a corner in an alley, bring a large towel or blanket someone can hold up.  You can also try for a restroom in a shop or restaurant.  It may help to be smart about layering your outfits so the changes are easier and maybe can even be done out in the open.

find a starbucks and change in their bathroom.. its free, there’s one on every corner and they usually all have an enormous handicapped bathroom.

@CookieBee:  The only problem with this is that most photographers put a time limit on the session.  The more time you spend changing = less time shooting.  If your photographer has not specified a time limit, then this is your best bet.

@USER876: very true! But if someone wants to change, short of doing it quick in the middle of the street i think a starbucks bathroom is the quickest way ๐Ÿ™‚ Hey, where are you from? Just curious!

@basketballwifetobe: i love the idea of doing the Knicks theme and then changing it up! I’m looking forward to your e pix!

@USER876: I know her photog and she doesn’t really have a time limit. We shot our e-pics with her for over 4 hours.

We changed in a public bathroom too. I actually also changed in a car lol.

New Yorker here! Starbucks is your best bet. You can even go into one of those cute hotels and use their bathrooms. I know when I first moved to NYC, my friends who visited always wanted to go into the bathrooms of The Waldorf or The Regis or The Plaza ๐Ÿ™‚ I wish I have NYC pics but I’m getting married in Houston and that’s where engagement pictures were taken. Hey, take a picture in a cab or flagging a cab or something. I always love those. I’m so sad I missed out on them….maybe I can get a ‘wedding after’ shoot??

You could also change in the bathrooms in Penn Station. I’m not sure how clean the bathrooms in Penn Station are, but Penn Station is right next to Madison Square Garden.

There is a starbucks across from MSG, on 31st and 7th Avenue, so that one might be your best bet ๐Ÿ™‚ There’s also a Borders on 33rd and 7th that should also have bathrooms.
