My blue color is tiffany blue!  I am not using any blue in my floral pieces (personally I don’t even like blue flowers and I get so annoyed when peole suggest I use blue flowers).  Any how, my bouquets will be cream-white and fuchsia orchids.  My centerpieces will have no blue whatsoever.  They will be fuchsia submerged orchids.  Linens will be white with a tiffany table runner.  Oh and my BMs are in tiffany.

I suggest that for your flowers/ centerpieces you pick a contrasting color from aqua/sky blue.  Oranges, yellows or reds would look nice against your shade of blue.  The other suggestion would be to have all white flowers & centerpieces.  You can never go wrong with all white!

Here are pictures of what I’ll be using:

My colors are blue and brown, we are going for elegant beach theme.  Mine and my bridesmaid bouquet are going to be made using hydrangas and roses.  Our centerpieces are going to be on the beachy side with sand and shells and candles, so probably not going to help you out there.  But here is a pic of what my bouquet will look like.

@taricha…are you using real or silk flowers to submerge in your centerpieces?

My colors are navy blue and silver.  I’m using blue irises in my bouquets, but in reality the irises are purplish.  I’m not sure if any aqua-colored flowers exist out there that aren’t painted; it would probably be easier to have ivory bouquets, and use the aqua for your linens and vases and such.

The theme I’m going with is Spanish because it fits our old world Spanish style venue. The main color will be champagne/ivory/tan, but the secondary color is an earthy turquoise color. For the flowers they will mostly be white with some greenery and hints of yellow and coral. We are having large rectangular tables with a large bronze or ivory (haven’t decided yet) lanter in the center with the flower arrangements on both sides. I’m also going to take some basic glass votives and ball jars and paint them turquoise like this: http://bridalbuzz.blogspot.com/2009/01/glass-jars-turned-vintage.html. This is the inspiration for the colors: http://www.stylemepretty.com/gallery/gallery/1201.

@marchbride26: to answer your question, I am using real.  I’ll be ordering orchids from fityflowers.com (1.89 per stem).  To me that’s almost, if not cheaper than, the same price as silk orchids which can cost up to 8.00 a stem!!

There are only a few naturally blue flowers out there-hydrangea, blue delphinium,  iris (which is really not blue) and there is an orchid that has blue in it.

We didn’t even bother. We dressed the girls and the room in blue and called it a day lol.

Hi,

I used that color as well. We did not do floral centerpieces though. The bouquets were just some simple white and yellow flowers we picked up at the store.

I’m Turquoise and Copper Brown. (with liberal accents of Ivory)

For flowers we’re using a mix of wildflowers and sunflowers.

The mix of colors seems to pull it all together somehow.

I haven’t found any yet (haven’t looked very hard…) but I’m hoping to be able to get my hands on some blue anemones. Maybe mix blue ones with some white ones with black centers? That’d be cool…

We used turquoise & ivory for my daughter’s wedding on May 21st.

We used candy bouquets for the centerpieces and white/ivory for the bride and BM’s. Ribbon wrapped in ivory for BM’s and teal for bride. I added teal ribbon loops for BM’s flowers too.

Im using tiffany blue, white and silver. Going with white/ivory/cream and very light blush (pink) flowers, but mostly white. The only blue at the reception will be the table linens and the tiffany boxes.

We are doing emerald green and turquoise as our colors. Here are some ideas that caught my eye.
