So I am having major dress regret. Its not that I dont think the dress is beautiful because I do. Its the fact that I had this picture in my head of what i wanted (princess ball gown style with bling) well i bought the complete opposite. I tried on about 10 princess gowns and they all just swallowed me up, and maybe its because they were all sample size 12 and im a 6 or 4. Anyways i ended up rushing and bought the dress because the boutique i went to was having a sample sale and i was worried if i didnt buy it then well someone else would. Now im thinking i rushed into it. I still spent 899 on the dress and that was the sample sale gown. Also the gown is a size 12 and i very worried about them altering it down to actually fit my size. So if all you married ladies can post some before and after pics im hoping it will put my mind at ease.

@Brittneygraham90: Oh, no! You don’t look happy at ALL in that dress… Have you looked into selling it and trying again?
Here’s my dress (but I don’t have a before picture!)

Hmmyou don’t seem or look too excited about your dress. You should definitely not feel that way and you should feel beautiful. As the PP states, maybe you could sell the dress and try again?
Here’s my before and after…

@Brittneygraham90: I think your dress is beautiful, but if you don’t love it, I would look into other options. I was looking to sell my dress until I went to my fitting. The seamstress made me feel so much better about it – and the fact that I lost 40 pounds didn’t hurt. I bought the sample dress as well and they took it from a 14 to somewhere between an 8 and a 12. They had to take a lot in on the sides but a whole bunch at the bust! Haha. I think meeting with a seamstress before selling your dress may change your opinion, sometimes they can help with the little things and make you feel better about your dress. They can’t really help with the fact that it’s not a ball gown, but is there anything else that is specific to your dress that you don’t like?
Here’s my before and after!

I think your dress is absolutely beautiful on you. With alterations I am certain it will fit like a glove. Your dress has a very romantic / sexy feel to it. Your fiancées jaw will drop when you walk down the isle

I don’t have pictures yet but my dress is a sample size 12 and I am currently a street size 4 (so probably a sample 6). My consultant said it’s common to take dresses in a whole bunch. I’m not going in till October 11th but I can let you know how it goes.
I have been worried but a ton of people have told me that it will be just fine.

@mrspizanotobe: yes please let me know, maybe Im just worried because the alterations aare scaring me, when I look at my dress on other brides I really do love it, I just didnt get the tingles or goose bumps when I tried it on, my whole family however was crying and getting goosebumps and kept saying this is the one. I think that’s why I rushed into it.

@Brittneygraham90: You do look beautiful in the dress, it’s not just the dress that is gorgeous 😀
Do you have any jewelry in mind to wear with your dress? If you do, or can borrow someone’s, I would take it with you and try your dress on again. Maybe even look into getting your hair done so you can get the feel of your wedding day. It may help you make your decision on whether you want to keep the dress or not.

@MrsCanoodle: Thank you, I do have an idea on the jewelry I’m thinking huge antique bling earring that dangle and put my hair up. I think I’m gonna try on a bling belt to see if I like it better with all the bling. Thanks again 🙂
