not sure if suede works.  You will need ALOT of glue as the glue will be asorbed by the suede.  Patent leather works best and is usually cheaper.  But the pink base shoe will be the best backround.  Good Luck!!!!!

Plenty of people have strassed suede. It works. For the patent leather part be sure to rough it up a bit with some sandpaper before gluing the crystals on. If you are planning on using E6000 glue you don’t have to worry about the anticipated “absorbent” nature of the suede because E6000 is more of an epoxy type glue so it is rather thick and gooey…

Nice shoe! Love the vibrant pink. I am debating taking on strassing my shoes as well! At least you have the shoes….I am on the hunt for some slingback peep toe pumps….Good luck on your venture! Keep us posted Wink

If you use the E6000 look into glue syringes if you are a perfectionist.  I bought Rose crystals from ss5-ss14 (it is a great bright pink, the Light Rose is too pale for my taste but may work with your shoe).  Be prepared for the glue to dry quickly and ooze out of the tube (again, use a syringe).  A toothpick with some beeswax or sillyputty is a great help in picking up the small stones.

You have a LOT of shoe and it will require a ton of stones if you are using small sizes or want them extra close (i like them super close together and not in a linear pattern)  I would estimate at least 3,000 per shoe but that really depends on the crystal size.  As another poster said, suede and patent will be just fine with the E6000 (and if you don’t have sandpaper a nail file is a great sub).

Good luck and if you have any questions just pm me.
