I wear glasses, all day, every day. I am so used to seeing my face with glasses on, I am almost certain I will wear them when I get married in March.
The problem is that people keep telling me not too, asking why I don’t wear contacts (I find them uncomfortable and I am just used to the way I look with glasses. Even opticians when I have gone in looking for a new pair of wedding glasses say to me (in a really snotty way) – why do you not just wear contacts?
So bees, if you wear specs, let me know what you chose to do for your day and were you happy with your choice – photos are a bonus!

I will be wearing my glasses. I’d be offended if anyone expected me not to. It’s your face, bee, if you want to look like you, wear your glasses(that’s my opinion)
I’m battling my MoH on not wearing makeup. I want to look like me, I was thinking of just wearing eyeliner and some lipstick because that’s my “going out look” and she thinks I should do full face. It’s a beach wedding, I’m wearing my glasses, light to no makeup, and a colorful dress. It’s your wedding, be you

I chose to not wear my glasses as wearing heavyish makeup would have made them slip and slide all day.
It was a blurry day but I’m short sighted so I could see my partner during the ceremony and my feet for walking!
I know plenty of women that wear their glasses on their wedding day, you ‘can’ get new wedding glasses but if you’re happy with yours then I think that’d be a waste of money.

Glad to hear it! You wear as much or as little make up as you wish! 🙂

I couldn’t go without my glasses sadly. I need new lenses anyway so am on the lookout but I think if I can’t find any I like any more than the ones I have, I will just wear these.

So beautiful! I wore contacts for photos at my sisters’ wedding in May last year and it just didn’t look like me!

I wear contact lenses and I wear progressive glasses over my contact lenses so I can see closeup. I look better without my glasses. So on my wedding day, I will have my contact lenses on and when it’s time to read my vows, I will wear my glasses over my contact lenses. I should be fine at the reception. It’s not like I need to see to eat, cut the cake or dance. 🙂 I wish I could get rid of my glasses, but I really can’t see to read, but I can see far.
My suggestion is to make sure you have the anti-reflective coating on your lenses. This is so you won’t look weird with shiny reflections on your face from your glasses.

Sorry.. duplicate! I don’t know how I did that.

There’s a good chance I’ll be wearing my glasses, as well. Not only do I like how I look better with glasses on (like you, it’s just part of who I am), but there’s like a 50/50 chance that when I put contacts in my eyes, they’ll water profusely all day long and sometimes be so uncomfortable I have to take them out immediately, ESPECIALLY if I’ve got makeup on. Sometimes they’re fine, sometimes they’re not, it just depends on how my eyes decide to behave that particular day hah. Besides, I like how the dress/veil looked with my glasses on. 🙂 Here’s the pic from when I bought the dress:

Have you tried multi-focal contact lenses? That’s what I wear when I do wear contacts, because my eyes suck at all distances lol. They’re basically the same idea as progressive lenses on glasses, but in contacts, and they are awesome! 🙂

I wore glasses!
I thought about contacts, but like you I don’t feel like I look like myself without glasses. Plus my wedding was outside in a park and if my allergies had kicked up at all contacts would have been miserable!
My old glasses were transitions (so they turned into sunglasses outside) so I got new wedding glasses that didn’t transition at all. They’re not particularly “wedding-y”, but they were sort of similar in color to the wedding colors (they’re a dark burgundy and our colors were red, black, and yellow). I wear them to work every day now because they’re super comfortable and really fit my look.
I’m also not really a make up person. So the glasses didn’t affect that at all. I wore some gold eyeshadow and some really dark red lipstick and a ton of sunscreen. The lenses I had were really big and round so you could see all the eye make up and it all came together really well.
Even if I had done a full face of makeup, I haven’t really had a problem with that in my glasses before. For my friend’s wedding she had a makeup artist for the bridesmaids. 2 of us wore our glasses along with the makeup and we looked pretty great. The makeup artist just looked at our frames beforehand and worked around them. A good make up artist can deal with glasses really well.
My advice is to do whatever makes you feel like the fanciest and prettiest version of *you*. So if feeling like yourself means you wear glasses, rock those glasses! You want to look at your photos and see yourself, not just a pretty face.

I will be wearing my glasses, as I dislike contacts and also dislike walking into walls 😉

I’m going to wear contacts. As much as anything because I don’t have a pair I think will go well with my dress. I almost always wear my glasses, but I will occasionally go without them.
FH is wearing his glasses for sure. He’s blind without him and feels weird not wearing them.
I think it’s fine however you feel most comfortable
