The cardio workout which is the double workout is a really good workout, it combines moves from the kenpo, plyo, yoga, and core workouts. The P90x workouts are pretty good, I think, I just did it in 2009 and then started it again this year, but got bored. I think it definitely helps to add it in 3-4 times a week, so you end up working out like 9 hours a week, but it’s worth it!!
If I do two workouts a day, I do a half hour to 45 mins of either Zumba (on the Wii), the P90x Cardio workout, or 45 mins of the yoga workout which I try to do at lunch/morning. Then at night I do an hour of SPIN or Zumba toning at the gym. I LOVE SPIN classes, I end up dripping with sweat, but it feels soo good This past weekend, I did an 1.5 hour spin class on saturday and then an hour zumba toning class yesterday. Both very high intensity. I couldn’t wake up this am, but am going at lunch time to do some yoga and then I’ll do a SPIN class tonight.
My weekday eating plan consists of the following, since I’m doing double workouts, I’m eating carbs for the first half of the day. I could probably be a little more strict, but I’m staying satisfied.
Breakfast: Oatmeal w/raisins, mini bagel (110 calories) w/cream cheese, or egg whites and turkey bacon
AM Snack: half a granola bar
Lunch: Typically a small sandwich
afternoon snack: other half of granola bar
Dinner: Meat and veggies
During the weekend, I splurge a little…like Saturday we went and had a beer and a burger, but that was the only alcohol I had for the week, so I’m pretty happy about it. You have to splurge a little!!
I’m feeling pretty good, I want to lose the weight for the next 7 weeks, get my first dress fitting, and then focus on toning arms/shoulders for the wedding while maintaining.
Sorry, I think I wrote a book! So are you sticking with the P90x workouts?? What about the meal plan? Some of the recipes are pretty great! What phase are you in, did you just start??
