Oh yay!  I’m so glad NAPRO is actually being used! I wrote about it awhile ago in my NFP resources page on here

I have so much respect for Dr. Thomas Hilgers and the Creighton method.  It’s not talked about much b/c Napro doesn’t use traditional reproductive technologies (IUI/IVF).  I’m curious if that bothers any of you?  And how many of you are Catholic (it has a strong affiliation to the RCC)?

@beekiss:  I’m not Catholic, I’m Protestant. But our preferences are based in the same faith! My husband is a pastor, and we both believe that IUI/IVF isn’t for us. The fact that NaPro is Catholic based and doesn’t use traditional ART is the reason that we were drawn to it in the first place.

I’m not at the stage yet (TTC) but just wanted to let the GTA/Ontario bees know that the Marguerite Bourgeoys Family Centre in Toronto is a great place to go to if you’re looking for a clinic. I know one of the doctors that works there and a few people have also recommended them.

Their website is also a great resource : http://www.fertilitycare.ca/

I should add that I’m not currently using Creighton method.  My Fiance and are aren’t married yet so we aren’t avoiding or trying and when I’ve used the Creighton method in the past, I became very discouraged.  Unlike most women who have PCOS, I had cervical fluid pretty much all month and sometimes I bleed for months on end.  I don’t currently have the resources to get these things figured out, but I’m hoping by the time we get married and I’ve lined up a Napro-affiliated doctor I can go back to the Creighton method.  I wish you ladies so much luck TTC!

@Ms. Martian:  I’m thrilled that the MBFC is so close to me (well, 3 hours). I’ve heard only wonderful things about it, and I know its the biggest centre in Canada. Haven’t been yet, we’re waiting a few more cycles, but I’m glad to hear that someone else is recommending it.

Hi ladies. Just popping to wish all of you the best of luck!!! While we are not practicing the Creighton method or seeing a NaPro doctor I’m very interested to read all about your natural remedies. I hope you don’t mind if I read along. Otherwise don’t hesitate to tell me.

@MrsFarmer:  My AP advices to use castor oil packs on CD3,5,7 and then every day up to ovulation. And backing soda works wonders to get rid of the extra oil from your stomach.

@beekiss:  My DH and I are Christian but the main reason we were drawn to Creighton/Napro was bc of their position on IVF/IUI.  My dr wanted to send me to do IUI with injectibles and we just weren’t comfortable with that.  I love the fact that they try to treat the problem instead of just getting you PG.  Especially since I’ll have endo even after I’m PG πŸ™‚

@redsmarties:  Thanks for all the great info on the packs!  Does your neuro recommend doing it all month long?

@Mrs. Pretzel:  I’m CD 10 today.  I would LOVE to have O by the end of the week πŸ™‚  When do you usually O around?  Mine probably won’t be til next week.  I’m not really sure since I’ve been on Clomid and had the procedures.  I’m hoping for before the 18th πŸ™‚

@Mrs. Pretzel:   That’s great that you O so early!  I’m praying for an early-ish O this month after having it delayed by Clomid but I’m not sure what to expect with all the vitamins and supplements.   Yesterday I had my first 10kl reading so that was pretty exciting!  At least it makes me feel like there are some good things going on down there πŸ™‚

@Mrs. Pretzel:  What is the way you used today?  I just use the basic front to back with a folded not crumpled tissue.  I usually always only get it after going to the bathroom and not the wipe before πŸ™‚

10kl is stretchy clear and lubricative.  πŸ™‚
