@redsmarties:  Hmmm I really am interested in the castor oil packs and I will definitely be asking my napro dr about it in October!   I think until then I’ll wait.  I’m still really leery of adding anything myself to my loooong list of treatments πŸ™‚  I do use the heating pad every night so it sounds like something I would love πŸ™‚

Here’s another Too Much Information question for you Creighton girls…..  how long do you wait after BD before you start considering your CM and not…. leftovers? πŸ™‚

I thought I would share this with all  of you…..

My Creighton teacher just emailed me that she is reading a book about the struggle with infertility and that at the end of each Chapter is a prayer so she was sending it on to all of us and letting us know she prays for all of us everyday.

Thank you, Lord, for all the blessings in my life.  Help me to remember them as I face the challenges of infertility.  I pray that I can surrender myself into your hands.  Let me accept the reality of this situation and have the wisdom and courage to take action where I can.  Strengthen my body, mind, and spirit to endure the trials of infertility.  Keep me ever mindful of the needs of others and grant us your peace.  Amen

It was just really what I needed to hear today.  I’m so thankful for someone in this process that really CARES for me and WANTS to help me in ways that my heart longs for.  It’s such a nice change from my other doctors.  It doesn’t hurt that she is my long lost friend from Childhood.  Not sure if I told you all about that.  It’s a looong story but it really solidified to me that doors will be opened when the time is right πŸ™‚

Hang in there today ladies, I’ll say a prayer for all of you πŸ™‚

@redsmarties:  I do have to say I agree with Pretzels on this one πŸ™‚  But I think he will naturally once you start doing Creighton.  It’s heavy couple based so he really won’t have a choice πŸ™‚

@Mrs. Pretzel:   That’s good to know.  I guess I’m always afraid to push them out too early.  I want to make sure they really have a chance to make the journey πŸ™‚  I’m not even sure how long I’m SUPPOSE to wait but I usually shoot for 30 minutes to an hour.

I think we’re TTC twins right now.  Probably bc of our CDs.  I feel really great today too!  Even did some baby looking/dreaming online but I get the same way after O.  I start to doubt and think we didn’t do enough and the fear and disappointment takes over.  Let’s try to keep each other positive ALL month this cycle πŸ™‚

@Mrs. Pretzel:  I had never heard that about within the hour!  Good to know, do you know why they say that?  Ha!  I bet it is! I’ve always wondered how you could do that bc you have to wait so long!  I’m in an office of 4 people.  2 girls and 2 guys so it would be VERY noticable if I did that πŸ™‚  Plus OPKs never worked for me.  Just added more confusion to my stress πŸ™‚

@redsmarties:  Ahh, so the castor oil packs are for increased blood flow.  That totally makes sense!

@ecomaha:  That is such a beautiful prayer.  ♥  I love that your Creighton teacher shared that with you!  Thanks for sharing it with us.  I’m going to print it out and put in my missal for Mass.  It seems like I always get teary and emotional when I’m at church…I’m like, “I’m here, God, why can’t you hear me??”  I know He does, but sometimes it seems like he’s not listening. LOL  But that’s only because He knows that His plans are better than mine!

@Mrs. Pretzel:  I’m glad you’re having such a good positive day and that you’re feeling good.  I am always SUPER hopeful before/around O too.  Must be some good feely hormones flowing around that time. πŸ™‚  Prayers that it will continue through your whole TWW as well!

@all:  I’m definitely looking forward to having DH more involved once we embark on Creighton charting.  As it is, he is quite interested in my FF chart (especially in the TWW) and he tends to ask what my temps are doing, especially towards the end of the TWW.  I remember how cute he was when I was explaining the temperature rise after O to him and he was asking questions about it. πŸ™‚  We’ve got good men, ladies.

Ok, so I had no idea that you need to expel the “BD extras” after 20-30 minutes!!  Really??!  I’ve always made it my object to leave it in there as long as possible, and I sometimes just fall asleep at night without getting up.  Hmm, so the premise is that the winning sperm will be well on it’s way already and that all of the rest is just extra?  Do you guys also do the legs up/pillow prop after?  What do your Creighton teachers say about that?

I’m 5dpo today.  We’ve been saying another novena to St. Philomena this cycle.  We started on her feastday (August 11th), so we’ll be finished the first day I plan to test (10dpo/Aug 28th) Eeek.  I’m reading the story of her life right now too and I didn’t realize until a few days ago that her parents were childless until they converted from paganism to Catholicism.  Wow! She was their blessing and the answer to their prayers. πŸ™‚

I’m keeping all of you ladies in my prayers too. πŸ™‚

Whew, you ladies were chatty while I was away, haha! Up to the elbows in fondant for cakes I’m making tomorrow, and celebrating DH’s NEW JOB! Its super secret, I can’t tell anyone IRL yet b/c we have to tell our church first that we’re leaving. Among all of the wonderful things it means, it also means that the Marguerite Bourgeoys centre is a 45 minute drive…so much better than the 3+ hours it would take now! Once we get all settled in, maybe in the new year I’ll book some appointments to get this NaPro show on the road!

Yep, talking about mucus is going to be a major learning curve for DH. Its funny, because ANYTHING ELSE goes. We discussed tampons and their benefit last night, lol, so he’s not squeamish. I’m just going to start talking about it and see what happens, haha. Maybe leave TCOYF open to the photos page. (You know which one I mean).

@Mrs. Pretzel:  my cycle ended up being 33 days, so that’s thrilling. SO excited. Unfortunately, cramps are kicking my butt, but I wore one of those Thermacare patches all day today and it was heaven.

@MrsFarmer:  Oooh, 5DPO. Exciting time, lady. I love that your novena ends on the day that you’re due to test. Awesome timing. Being a good Protestant girl, I have no clue how things like that work, but I find them fascinating just the same.

@ecomaha:  That prayer is fantastic. I love it. Definitely sticking it on my wall for a reminder.

Oh wow.  I’m definitely at the ‘Is this day over yet because I’m SO checked out’ point πŸ™‚  I feel like it’s times like these that I start to obsess about O and every little thing I feel and drive myself crazy.  That or I go looking for baby stuff online – never good either!! πŸ™‚  Hopefully this weekend will fly by and O will have come and gone and I can move on to the TWW.  Also, never fun πŸ˜‰

No new updates here.  I’ve noticed that I primarily have my CM in the evenings.  Never really during the day.  I think that’s interesting!

@redsmarties:  The prayer we’re saying is a novena (which stands for nine or ninth or something like that.)  So you say the prayer for 9 days in petition (asking), and we always say the same prayer for 9 days in thanksgiving (even if we haven’t technically received the blessing/favour yet).  Instead of being presumptuous, it’s more like being hopeful and trusting.

@ecomaha:  Yup, I’m ready to get out of my office and get this weekend going!  It’s so hard NOT to obsess around O and the TWW.  I’m 6dpo today and had a lovely temp spike.  I’m trying not to read anything into it, because I know it really means NOTHING at this point.

@MrsFarmer:  That does look good!  But I know what you mean.  Pretty much  I feel like 1-9 DPO temps are kinda just hit and miss.  I try not to read anything into them but that doesn’t mean I don’t end up doing it anyway πŸ™‚   Just busy yourself all weekend and by the time you get back into the work week hopefully you’ll be looking at testing πŸ™‚
