I’m a db bride! Dress was less than $400. Alterations another $250. I love my dress!!! It’s the Swiss dot; a few other bees have it too. I tend to buy designer but for my beach wedding I didn’t want to blow the budget on a dress I would probably ruin and not be able to sell to make some money back. What styles are you looking at?

Dress was originally $800 got it on clearance for $300! I didn’t want to spend tons of money in a dress that I’ll only wear for less than a day.

I also got my dress at David’s Bridal. It wasn’t what I originally envisioned (huge ballgown), but it was so comfortable and decently priced ($350) that I went with it. It was pretty. Same dress as a previous poster…. swiss dot.

Another DB Bride here. I tried on soooooo many other ones. As a plus size bride I was MOST happy with the dresses at DB than any of the salons I went to. I thought I wanted a lot of lace and beading and ending up going more plain.

Best part – I tried it on and knew what size I needed and ended up getting off someone on ebay that cancelled her wedding – for $100!!!!!!

(Here’s my previous post with lots of pics – http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/which-dress-if-any-poll-lots-of-pics/ )

Here is what I chose (our family pic and a pic with the veil)

I am looking at Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses so i will share my pictures on Saturday. They have a lot of gorgeous dresses as you can in the photos. This is the dress i am really liking right now.

I’ll be picking up my gown from DB this weekend! It’s from the Vera Wang White collection, originally over 1k, got mine for $499! Still not sure how much alterations will wind up being.

*I don’t look particularly happy since the dress was a size too small, all the way zipped up and felt like it was crushing my ribs. I assure you I loved it haha

David’s has some great dresses as good prices. Sadly, all the ones I veered to were $1,000 and over!

I got my dress from davids! I bought the Galina Signature SWG523 which is available in standard & plus bridal sizing (not sure of your size) I went in with the idea that i wanted a huge poofy vera wang ball gown, i couldnt have been more wrong. My mom zipped me in and out of about 10 ball gowns before i realized how heavy and overwhelming they felt. When i put this on i instantly fell inlove with the light airy movement. HAPPY SHOPPING – keep your entourage small 😉

Yes it is! The consultant actually picked it out for me 9V9743. Looking at it, I was eh but it felt so ethereal on.

Be open to suggestions. They see millions of women with different figures.
