I wore a David’s Bridal dress as well – was part of the White by Vera Wang collection. Dress was about $600, alterations were maybe another $100?

Excuse my facial expression, I was starting to get cold standing in the rain for these photos, but it’s a good full length dress shot! haha

This is mine and I adore her! http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_chiffon-a-line-gown-with-beaded-waist-9v3677_wedding-dresses-plus-size-dresses

I never wanted to spend a lot on a wedding dress and ended up loving the simple chiffon rouching this one had (plus a little bling around the waist!). It’s in need of a little bit of poof underneath but I wasn’t wearing a crinoline while trying this on.

catchyscreenname:  It was by far the lightest I tried on!  I would love to wear it without the slip (which is a bit cumbersome…not too bad), but the slip just makes it flow so much nicer!  I am usually between a 22 and 24 street size.  I’m bigger on the bottom and smaller on the top, so depending on the style.  All of the other dresses I tried on were size 22 and they all zipped…some fit just fine and others were quite tight.  I think the dresses were pretty close to street size.  I loved that my David’s Bridal had a lot of plus sizes on the racks to try.  Every one I had on my list they had in the 22 or 24, if not both sizes.

I chose my first dress at DB and was extremely (x1000) unhappy with the experience. But it turns out that that location is pretty bad with customer service in general. I ended up going to a small bridal boutique and got a dress there that I would eat, sleep and play in if I could without ruining it before my big day. As far as dress choices are concerned I would say to really think about your vision for the day and what you want. Don’t let anyone pull you away from what you want or feel beautiful in. The consultants might do this every day but it doesn’t always make them experts on what YOU should be getting. I originally chose MK3576 in Whisper (Blush) Pink. (DB Picture attached. I don’t have one of myself in the gown anymore.)

Here is mine–I’m picking it up this week and taking it to be fitted! ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s a new Galina to DB this season. I’m having a simple beach wedding and it’s everything I dreamed of.

Mrs_JB:  yes I added the belt ๐Ÿ™‚ it is all beaded, very pretty!  But what kind of bustle did you get? I am worried a bustle will look weird!

CarribeanBridetoBe:  ahhh I love it ๐Ÿ™‚ and love that u added the belt!! I didn’t like the bustle at first but after looking at the pictures it actually looks really pretty. They put it a 12 or 13 point bustle.. It was intense, luckily my SIL is amazing and paid attention on how to do it haha.. Here is a picture where you can see what mine looked like

i also added blingy buttons along the zipper which I loved ๐Ÿ™‚
