I need your help! I am getting married October of 2017. I am still trying to figure out the color theme of the wedding. I have my dress, which is Ivory not sure about the Maid/Matron of Honor and bridemaids color dresses.
I was thinking of the color wine incorportating the colors such as yellow, orange, red flowers. Now im confused because my Maid/Matron of Honor told me these arent fall colors for a wedding. I am not crazy about the BMs wearing orange dresses.

Don’t go insane trying to figure out what is season appropriate! According to Pinterest I am having a fall wedding in the spring lol. My colours are burgundy, emerald green, blush, and gold. I really like the flowers in that pic, and I think they are very fall. Orange especially but I get not wanting pumpkin coloured bridesmaids! I vote for burgundy 🙂

What PP said – do not overthink the seasons and colors! TBH, no one is going to walk into your wedding and think ‘omg this color scheme isn’t Fall at all’ and some may not even put any thought into what your colors are. Also I have to disagree with what your moh said about your choices not being Fall colors for a wedding. To me those colors scream autumn!

Forgot to mention that I’m also a Fall 2017 bride! 👰 My colors will be jewel tones in the bm dresses and flowers.

Pick whatever colors your heart desires! Our wedding will be in October and my ladies will be in Navy. Our colors are Navy, Gold, Peach, and Blush because I love them and that was that.

I agree that you should do whatever colors you like, regardless of the season. My bridesmaids wore red but that was because I liked the classic look of red and black. I was just the Maid/Matron of Honor in my BIL’s wedding a few weeks ago and we also wore red. Just so happened to work out that way. My cousin who also had a November wedding planned her colors around the season and we had to wear a burnt orange color which wasn’t my favorite. LOL

Love those flowers and your dress is very nice.. also agreed dont you feel like you have to do FALL colours. No body wants an orange dress lol
My wedding is Sept 2017 ceremony is in a rose garden and reception in a ballroom with lots of mirrors and dark wood, my girls are wearing a darker champagne satin dresses and our theme will have more cream/champagne/blush colours and maybe some red

I plan to get married next fall and am hoping to use rich colours like gold, copper, burgundy, deep purple, and dark navy. I don’t think you have to use ‘fall’ colours like yellow, orange, red, but maybe just try for deep rich hues or earthy tones vs. baby pink and turquoise if it is important to you to be seasonal. Here are some pics of my inspo:

I got married October 15, 2016 in Minneapolis and I did Champagne bridesmaids with ivory/champagne flowers with dark greenery. I kept a more neutral color pallette as I didn’t necessarily want the colors screaming “fall”. I want the backdrop of the foliage in my photos to do the talking! 🙂

I say pick whatever colors you like best, regardless of season!! I always knew I wanted a burgundy wedding, it wouldn’t matter what season it was. I got married in September, so technically a fall weddomg and burgundy is considered a fall color – but that didn’t matter to me in the slightest.
Pick the color(s) you love! And don’t worry about anyone else’s opinion of it. You’ll have your wedding pictures forever, and when you’re looking at them in 5 years you won’t care what season it was – you’ll just be happy to see it was in your favorite color. Happy planning!

angelwings211 : I loveeee cranberry as a bridesmaid dress colour! I think flower colouring, with such a bold dress colour, should perhaps be kept to a minimum – maybe simple white flowers with some reds, oranges and greens?

- Wedding: September 2015 - Hotel Ballroom
September 2015 bride here!
My wedding colours were emerald green and ivory white. Green is my favourite colour, and the venue offered free ivory linnens so that was a no-brainer! We ignored ‘conventional’ fall colours because it’s what made us happy. It’s your day, pick what you want, regardless of season 🙂
