@Eva Peron: Darling Husband is thankfully somewhere in the middle. He doesn’t trust the ones I love (too many “war” stories that end up with some sort of injury) but as a general likes horses (and thinks too highly of his seat, he’s up there in bad equitation rankings and I used to lead trail rides for city folk!) There’s plans to get him a big pasture puff gelding when the time comes that we can afford horses to get him started.

Next on horse movies- thoughts on War Horse?

Do you ride? If so, what style(s)? Yes, I have been riding hunter/jumpers and dressage since I was little. In the past few years, I have also taken up polo. Which I love!!

Do you own or lease- If so, give us pics and stats! My fiance and I live on a polo farm. We have 26 horses here. All of them are polo ponies except for 3, which are my show horses.

Do you have a career in horses? Yes, I manage our polo operation

Are you competetivie? Yes, I play polo competitively and show

And anything else you would like to add or share !

Here are some pictures of my ponies πŸ™‚

first pic- me and my mare Michelena in the snow last winter

second Pic- Stick and ball w/ my best mare, Missy

third Pic- My mare Twiggy when I first bought her off the track

fourth pic- Me w/ a pony named Stonewall in a practice game, he’s a handful!

Hey Bees further to my earlier post a while back… I though i’d give an update on my girl as she’s very green but coming along nicely. We had our first dressage comp today, and came 3rd πŸ™‚ … out of 3! We were only 4 points beind second place so i’m still happy she tried, even if the white boards were terifying! Below is a picture of us warming up super early this morning (I think it’s now nap time!)

Anyone else done anything exciting with their ponies recently?

@emmylouloubobells:  Great job for your first show! What level are you showing her? I used to show dressage all the time with an old gelding of mine. It’s been a while since I’ve been in the dressage ring, but I have a polo pony that I’m converting to a dressage horse πŸ™‚ She tore a suspensory a few years ago, and has come back totally sound. I don’t really think she should go back to polo, since its so hard on their legs. She’s a great mover and is really athletic, so we may give dressage a go! Here’s a picture of her

Do you ride? If so, what style(s)?

Ride English style(living in Ireland so Western is a rarity!)

Do you own or lease- If so, give us pics and stats!

Dont presently have a horse but owned a 15.2hh TBX a few years ago called Hugo and he was a great all rounder (dressage,Xcountry, showjumping)

Here I am competing in a Hunter Trial on my favourite school horse Nero. my mouth is open saying ‘Whoa’ as he was a bit over excited that day!!

And my old horse Hugo!

Do you have a career in horses?

Nope,merely a hobby

Are you competitive?

No way, it would ruin it for me! I just want to enjoy my time with the horses without any pressure

Do you ride? If so, what style(s)? English, hunter/jumper – mostly just casual hacking about in the spring/summer/fall!

Do you own or lease- If so, give us pics and stats! Own x 2. QH/WB cross mare, she will be 21 in April, and a Holsteiner mare who will be 8 this spring. πŸ™‚

Do you have a career in horses? Nope! Been there, done that – found it took away my enjoyment of the sport actually.

Are you competetivie? Used to be, not any more. My Holsteiner mare is competitive on our national circuit in the jumpers as well as the Hunter Derby’s which is awesome!
