Commenting to follow! I am hourglass but I haven’t started looking yet. You all look STUNNING in your gowns! Love the curvy bride look, not enough hourglass models out there to tell what dresses may look like before we try them on.

spoiledvamp27:  It’s pinned up a ton in the back! Haha plus, I was like, let’s pull this in tighter, I want it to stay put the day of.

spoiledvamp27:  Thank you! The pictures don’t do it justice, the bottom is entirely sequined tulle which is what I fell in love with!

nattybeee:  Omg that makes me so sad to hear we had the same thing! It’s so minor, but it was really hard! When I bought the Fit and flare/shealth-ish dress, my Bridesmaid or Best Man was like “the bottom of the skirt is really nice!” I’m like could you compliment anything more vague? hhaaha. I think what was also frustrating is my entourage couldn’t get past that the dress I tried on was 3 sizes too small so OF course, it’s going to be WAY tighter than the actual dress! I have full faith though that once they see me in a dress that correctly fits, i’ll get to do a nice little “I told you so” dance 😉

I’m an hourglass, and I think my dress is pretty flattering.  It doesn’t define my waist as much as it could, but those super form-fitting mermaids that made my body look awesome weren’t really my style.

I’m an hourglass shape but with a short waist (so more of an “x” shape than a true hourglass). I wore a dropped-waist ballgown. I triend on ballgowns that hit my natural waist but since I have a short torso, they made me look dumpy.

I ended up with an A-Line dress.

Miss-Mauverick:  You have to tell me what dress that is!  It looks amazing on you!

I too have a shorter torso and drop waist ballgowns looked really nice on me.  The regular ones made me look bigger than I am.

nattybeee:  I found that mermaids looked best on me. I originally wanted a ball gown, but they looked horrible on me. This is my dress (it needs alterations obviously lol)

BMoreBecc:  Your dress does a great job of showing off your figure. And the ruffles are so soft and elegant
