I had clip in real hair extensions, is that what your looking for?

mine were $99 and amazing quality. My hair stylist who cut my hair bought some for herself after seeing mine. Then my hair stylist for the wedding actually bought them for herself too after doing my trial haha.

They are from Sally Beauty Supply.

here are mine… they are ‘indi remy’ brand…. i sewed the clips on myself which is great because you can cut them exactly to fit your head ๐Ÿ™‚ i bought 1 pack for 110 or so i think… and then the clips cost me another 12 or so…. theyre super thick (which is good because my real hair is sooooooooo thick)  and the texture matches perfectly… you can buy whatever texture you need tho… they have silky… yaki (which is what i got), wavy, etc.

Thanks for the post!  I’m curious as well as I’m chopping my hair off and will probably get extensions for when I want to cry due to the lack of hair.

@agirlwithdreams7: Pretty much.  Just bored.  And it’s so hot.  And I always just tie it up anyway.

If you have never had hair extensions before I definitely do NOT recommend getting them for your wedding!

 A) The braids hurt and itch and are EXTREMELY uncomfortable. B) Managing them after they’re put in is time consuming.  You need to be diligant about how you wash them, and drying takes forever.  You have to take a dryer on a low heat setting and dry the braids.  C)  Your husband will not like the way your head feels.  I’m pretty sure my Darling Husband would divorce me if I ever got them again.  He describes the way they feel as weird foreign body or scab on your scalp.

@TamiN: Are you talking about the ones that are weaved into your hair?  I think OP was asking about clip-ons.

@stephanie63087: how did you cut the extensions before sewing the clips on? I’ve got to sew mine on too, but I’m terrified to cut them wrong! I don’t want ends poking out of my head or anything.

@agirlwithdreams7: yeah I have thick hair as well – the extentions did NOT look good straight! But when my hair was teased and curled, they blended in perfectly.

the brand is euronext. I took them on my honeymoon and they were in the pool (whoops) but they actually still held up with all of the curling irons and chlorine that I took to them. I heard you can put them into laundry fabric softener and it will make them really soft so I’m going to try that with mine.

@agirlwithdreams7: thanks! mine are from a store… its called hollywood beauty but its just a generic beauty store where they sell weave and wigs and other stuff for hair and makeup… but ya! i would definately recommend going to the store because its much easier to match your color and texture.

@Khumble: hi!!! i have very thick hair so i did ‘double wefts’… its a layer of the hair folded over if that makes any sense. when you are cutting the hair you want to cut up into it… not down (so you dont lose hairs or fray).  and at the ends i folded the piece under so it will never fray or lose hair. oh and i made sure the clip was all the way to the edge of the hair. i watched a ton of you tube videos about how to do it before i attempted. it was so helpful!!.

@stephanie63087: Thanks! I watched some videos, and have a better idea, but I’m still scared to death to screw it up! I’m more concerned with measuring them wrong then sewing the clips on. I have thick hair too, but I’m wondering if I have enough to do the double seft thing (folding them over).

Also – how high on your head did you go with them? did you do small ones for the sides up high?

@Khumble: hi again! yes i made 3 clips about 3 inches wide… 2 about 4 inches wide. 1 5 inches wide, 3 2 inches wide. and 2 1 inch wide. the shorter ones are for the sides of your face… kind of framing it.  i go all the way to the top of my head with them…. like as far up as i can go… its so hard to explain haha! i felt the same way as you when i was doing them but once you get going it just kinda all falls in place. feel free to pm me with any other questions.

@Heatherloveskenny: Hi! I just bought the same extensions for my hair! I’m glad I got to see yours, they look great and it eases my mind! How did they put yours in? The lady at Sallys told me that they clip in and when your hair is teased, they stay really well and wont move all night. I don’t really get it and I’m scared they are going to fall out while I’m dancing!
