@maplemag:  I went to David’s Bridal and Bella Bridal Boutique in Woodbury. Last year they had a “White Friday” sale on Black Friday and gowns off the rack were 75% off! I loved Bella’s but I couldn’t find anything that I liked in my size :-/

Oh I almost forgot, went to Brides of France as well. They were a bit spendy but they had beautiful dresses.

The Wedding Shoppe felt like a cattle call to me, but if you can get a weekday appointment it might be a lot better.

I got my dress at Brides of France in Richfield and I highly recommend them. They don’t do appointments and they are SUPER enthusiastic and you can tell they love their jobs and love chatting about the dresses 🙂 They also carry La Sposa gowns (sister company of Pronovias), so you can try on some of the beautiful European designs! Also, they show the names of all the designers and encourage you to take pictures, which The Wedding Shoppe does not allow you to do.

Wedding Chapel Bridals in Crystal is okay, but their owner can be really rude and I would make sure that you don’t buy accessories or have your alterations done there. My SIL got totally ripped off on her veil, and she had to have 6 alterations appointments! Not cool. Also, no picture taking.

The Bridal Spot in Golden Valley has a pretty decent staff and lots of dresses that they let you take pictures of, so that’s nice. It’s kind of a grungy looking store, but the selection is good overall.

I tried on TONS of dresses before finding mine, so let me know if you have any more questions!

i used to work at the wedding shoppe – id for sure recommend not going on a saturday if at all possible. widest range of prices and designers. mori lee to lazaro.

posh – in wayzata and mpls. i think they just closed one location to make the other larger, but i cant remember which one was closed.

la’telier couture in mpls – this store has vera, oscar de la renta… high high priced gowns.

accents couture in savage is great. beautiful gowns, wide range of price points from about 2000-6+

che bella in st paul has alvina valenta, jlm etc. maybe about 1200-4k.

@maplemag:  I know that this thread is from a while ago, but I’m really curious how your experience was at all these locations (particularly at Posh) I’m going to be planning my trips to central MN to do shopping so I would love to hear how your experience went!!
