Mine’s an H.. but I have since fallen in love with warmer colored diamonds too, especially in antique-style cuts.

ETA: WOW that pic showed up so big… sorry!!  : )

@fmls:  Sorry to threadjack but your ring is AMAZING. Love the way it’s cut and the setting compliments it perfectly!

@lalalalauren:   Thank you SO much!! It’s an Old Mine Cut, so it reflects light really differently than a round.  I get more big, chunky flashes of light rather than the crazy fire rounds give off.  It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I love it!  Laughing

Mine is a 1.2 carat VS2 hearts & arrows cut in rose gold GIA graded it as an H color..but it looks very white..my mothers diamond is 2.5 carat  F and for some reason mine looks whiter. I’m guessing it just depends on the lab.

You need to go look at some stones of different color grades next to each other by yourself and see if you can tell a difference.  I can.  My diamond is a GIA G and I can tell the difference between it and my mom’s D easily, but it doesn’t bother me.  Mine is set in yellow gold (well, Pt head, yg band) and I have pale pinky skin.  The cut and clarity will make the color more or less obvious, also.  A cloudy, poorly cut diamond will trap light and make the color stand out more.  A sparkly, clear diamond you’ll be looking through and not at the color.
