Aveeno! They have an intensive care cream, I believe. Blue label. It works wonders. My mom has horribly dry skin during the winter and my sister has eczema. They both swear by it.

When I did my internship at the hospital, I kept a small bottle of hand lotion (L’Occitaine is my favorite) clipped to my ID lanyard so I could put it on after washing. Another good trick: before you got to bed, slather your hands with Vaseline, put plastic bags over each one, then cover with a sock.  When you wake up, your hands are super soft. I do this to my feet pretty regularly.  My husband laughs at me but I don’t have knarly feet like he does!

I use Avon hand cream- works amazingly well. I had dry skin before I was a nurse, and now it would be terrible if it weren’t for this stuff! I use moisture therapy and silicone glove.

The thing I really like about this lotion (as opposed to others I’ve tried) is that it seems to be compatible with our alcohol rub! It doesn’t ball up or get sticky!

Following this,  my hands look pitiful. Sanitizer is awful for my hands.

Bath and Body Works makes hand sanitizer lotions – I use them when I can instead of the alcohol-based kinds.

A second vote for the l’occitane. the pure cocoa butter in a squeeze tube is amazing.

I love Prevex lotion, it’s almost waterproof and so moisturizing. When my hands get REALLY cracked (like painful and bleeding cracked), I use a prescription steroid called Topicort for a couple of weeks.

I love, love, love Carmex lotion!  My hands look the best they’ve looked in a long time thanks to it.

I have a tube of L’Occitaine shea butter lotion in my bag I would use after washing my hands (I only have issues in the winter) and then at home I put Palmers cocoa butter on every night. I have previously tried sleeping in gloves but I hated the feeling and stopped doing it.
