I am trying to figure out my bridesmaids gifts and I can’t ask any of my best friends for their opinions since I want it to be a surprise and since I don’t have kids, I don’t know the answer!
I want to get them engraved gold disks on a chain with their monograms on them to wear that day but I’m not sure whose initials to put on them…would you rather wear your child’s monogram or initial or would that be strange?
What about your married or maiden monogram or initial?
What do you ladies think? Have you ever had the same mix of BMs with and without kids?
Thanks in advance!

What about using the first letter of their first names?

I like @oracle’s idea. First letter of first names is the best way to keep it simple. Otherwise it’s like you’re dividing w/ kids and w/out kids which is weird.

If it were me, I’d like the first initial of my last name because its my families name (husband, children, mine). But thats just me. Or what about leaving them blank? The plain disc necklaces are in right now.

@Vandygirl29: Side note, just inferring from your screenname, my Fiance goes to Vanderbilt :-). Go ‘Dores!
I would do a first letter initial. I love monogrammed things, and I would appreciate the full monogram. However, if some bridesmaids are getting married or in a serious relationship, it might be hard to decide what initials to use.
Let us know what you decide!
