I love the band you posted! Very pretty and unique. I’m just going to put a custom fitted diamond band along with mine. Not sure I’d have many more options as I do not like the gap any straight  bands leave. But I’m with you on liking the look of a thin band! I’m nervous how mine will come out. And sorry for the bad nails. I was not prepped for the proposal lol.

Hi bee I haven’t tried on an open wedding band but I can share with you the ones I have, I initially wanted a 1.5 mm plain rose gold band but my FH doesn’t love it, I’m still going to get one for those days when I don’t want to use my full set.

This is a deep blue sapphire and diamond band but I didn’t like it because I think my pear is blocking a lot of the beautiful sapphires:

Rose gold pave band slightly bigger than my band:

But the one I’m set on getting is this one twisted rose and white gold:

melissabeemz :  wow your ring is gorgeous!!!

My pear is set on a slightly thick gold band, I’ve tried it on with a pavé band and I loved it. I am going to get 2 bands and sandwich the e ring between them! I’m going to do yellow gold, but I’m undecided between regular pavé or alternating baguettes and rounds!?

melissabeemz :  Oh my Heavens, I have never seen or, embarrassingly, ever heard of an “open band” before, but omogh that is stunning. So unique and so beautiful. I love it! I recently went from a round solitaire with diamond band to my current single setting with my pear.

melissabeemz :  i love the band you posted!  I looked at an open ring too – but ended up with a bubble style ring with marquis diamonds instead, which I absolutely love. It’s just the right amount of diamond to not be completely overwhelmed by the e ring – and thanks to the style and lack of gold around the edges, it’s nice and thin (both of my rings have 2mm bands or something right around there)

But honestly, I love the look of the set you posted at least as much – maybe even more 🙂

melissabeemz :  Awww thank you! I’m very happy with it. I just wish I knew what it will look like with the band. Not sure I’ll be able to see it before it’s made :-/

I went with a nesting band from Etsy. I’m planning on getting a matching half eternity ring (same size diamonds as the halo) and wear in between them 🙂

This is mine. Rose gold thickset band with brilliant cut eternity diamonds. The rings don’t sit flush but I like that. It looks more organic.
