I am 5ft tall exactly
I’m 5’0 tall.. I had a beautiful ball gown but the seamstress said she would have to take the entire bottom off and reconstruct the dress to fit me and I would loose some beadwork and design so I decided to go with this baby I’m going to accessories this too death lol
All along I wanted a simple matte satin dress with pockets. I ended up with a tea length dress. I do love vintage style but it really wasnt what I wanted.
Eventually I found THE DRESS & it has POCKETS!! I was able to trade & pay the difference thank goodness.
Im 5ft & 90lbs.
This is the dress. This is NOT me but a random review photo from site. I dont have a photo of me in the dress (first fitting next Wednesday… YEAH) but this girl is tiny like I am.
I say get what you want regardless of what they say you cant wear if your petite!
5ft here and can’t wait to wear mine in 29 days
Im 5’3 (i say) and I think body shape is much more important than height for the most part. I am very petite but with curvy hips and bottom. My top half is small and narrow and i have small boobs. I looked like I was drowning in a ball gown and I felt like I was playing dress up in an adults dress. Ha! I ended up with a trumpet and felt this was much more flattering for my body type.
However this thread clearly shows fellow shorties ROCKING a ball gown. So it really does depend on the individual. A dress will have to be taken up regardless for us shorties, so I say go with whatever dress suits your body shape and personality and that you feel amazing in! Good luck!!
I think it also depends of the fullness of the ballgown. I ended up with what they called a ballgown but its not so full more A line without a ballgown slip. If I added the slip it would have been overwelming… or at least I would have felt that way.
5’1″ bride here! I wore a lace fit and flare – it happened to look best on my figure but I think it’s your day wear whatever makes you happy!
I’m 5’0 – I chose a ballgown..which was very, very, very unexpected for me!
