Tabrett Maria:  i have had my princess cut e-ring since august of 2012 and i have never had any issues… and i am not gentle with it either haha. i wear mine while cooking, cleaning, hiking, horse back riding, etc and have wacked it on things with no issues. i do think its important to get prongs that protect the edges though, so when you start looking at rings be sure to ask about the security of the prongs. either way, princess cuts are gorgeous and i’m sure you’ll love it!

Tabrett Maria:  I’m pretty hard on mine. Never had any issues with chipping or anything.

I have two friends with substantial princess cuts, and neither has had any issues with the stone holding up. The only problem is that we work in healthcare, so the pointed corners are murder on gloves.

I personally prefer the look of cut cornered squares: radiants, cushions, and what I ended up getting, an Asscher. But that’s strictly an aesthetic preference (I think they look less harsh?) and princess cuts can be absolutely beautiful. My friends’ rings have a very classic and classy look.

I have a princess solitaire and haven’t had any problems and I wear it ALL the time.  Just make sure to get the v-shaped prongs to protect the corners and you’ll be fine!

Tabrett Maria:  I’ve had no issues.  Mine is in a halo but it has 2 prongs on each corner which probably help protect it.

I’ve had mine for a year and a half and have never worried about it or had any problems. I have V-prongs which I prefer the look of so that probably helps protect it a bit more.

If you like it then totally get it. Ive never had a crack or anything yet I wear mine a lot and I always find myself hitting stuff with it.  I do have the edges protected though our jeweler said its the best thing to do for them.

Tabrett Maria:  I have a solitaire princess cut and I use it hard. I whack it at least 2 to 3 times a day, cook with it, clean with it, shower with it, do dishes with it, etc. Never had a problem. 🙂

I also have v prongs on my princess so I never considered chipping to be a concern.

I’ve been married for 11.5 years and I’ve NEVER had any issues, and I’ve knocked it on accident pretty hard from time to time! 🙂
