Ok sooooo, I have fallen in love with princess cut stones. I love how clean an bright they are. I am thinking of asking my Darling Husband if we can upgrade my stone to princess cut for our upcoming wedding in February. ( Long story) yes we are married but are getting married again Valentines 2020. My question is it harder to get wedding bands to fit with a princess cut ??? I am thinking of doing something around .75 is this a good size ??? An should i do solitaire or pave type ?? Please post pics n specs of your ering please. Thanks so much Bees

Congratulations! I have a princess cut 1.11ct g color size 7, it was originally a solitaire but I had a custom setting made for it on our 5 year anniversary. So if you start with a solitaire remember you can always change it up later if you want to. Come back and post pics when you get it please.

Here’s mine! .5ct princess cut, I am a size 4.75 finger. This is kind of like a blend of a kite setting and a tension setting. We bought the rings as a set so we didn’t have to worry about finding a matching band thankfully. It’s definitely not traditional so I’m not sure how helpful this is to you, but I love it 🙂 I think princess cut stones in kite settings are gorgeous.

mrscoy4always : This is my princess cut 1.2 carat. Its not difficult to get a band to sit flush against any type of stone setting. You could try different styles in the store and see which type you like. Upload pics when you’re done, love to see more princess style rings on here.

Mine is a kite set 1.92 ct equivalent princess. My ring is a little more challenging due to the orientation of the stone. I’m planning to stack another band with colored stones in between my e-ring and matching wedding band, since they wont sit flush.

Here is my 1 ct. on an 8.25 finger. I haven’t looked at wedding bands since we only have been engaged for a week, but I’m thinking about getting an enhancer “wrap” band

Your setting is what i am looking at for myself. I am looking at .75 though i wear a size 6 an the one carat swallows my tiny fingers. .75 actually shows like a 1 carat on me the jeweler said. Finger size an length makes a difference they told us. Your ring is gorgeous.

Love princess cuts! Here’s my 1.3 ct sparkler, size 8.5
The shape of the stone doesn’t really impact how well a band works with it, that’s determined more by the setting its in. On my ring the head comes off the side of the band instead of the top
This causes a slight gap, but I like it 😍
If you’re worried about a band sitting flush just talk to a jeweler about your concerns and they can direct you to styles and designs that’ll work for you.
Happy hunting and come back and share your beauty!
