You are probably thinking of a blue sapphire, but mine is a white sapphire center stone with a blue sapphire halo. The center stone is 1.11 carats. I’m a size 5 finger.

Mines a lab created saphhire, My finger size is a 5, and the stone is 6mm in diameter, which according to two different conversion charts is .75-.85carats. Sorry not the best photo but it’s all I have right now.

I have two, the first one is a size 7 or 8 (heirloom ring) and is a very deep dark blue, it only looks blue in sunlight. The appraiser said it seems to be just over a carat, about 6.3 mm. Next one is a size 5 and is a one carat sapphire, about 6.0 mm. I love the dark sapphires but they come in so many shades of blue and even pinks and purples!!!

Also know that sapphires are more dense than diamonds! A one carat sapphire is actually smaller than a one carat diamond. So I would not try on stones the same carat weight. If anything, try on something and ask for the size in mm, then remember that size when you go sapphire shopping. If you have a jewler you can go to locally they should have a selection of loose stones to show you. Or would be able to order some to show you. I went to shane co and they showed me a ton!

My ring is a size 5 but it’s too big as I keep losing weight (not on purpose).

The blue sapphire centre stone is emerald cut and 1.4 ct.

The ring is by Tacori.
