@PotionsMaster007:  I think either size would look beautiful! My ring size is a 4.5. My wedding band is 4mm and my engagement band is even thicker – maybe 6mm not sure? I’m personally in favor of rings that are not the same size in thickness. I think it helps each ring to stand out on their own. Do you have a setting in mind?

@PotionsMaster007:  Ohmygosh, that’s so beautiful! I’d personally go with 2mm for this ring since there’s no diamonds on the band.

My band is just under 2mm, about 1.8 if I remember correctly.

I am getting a 3mm straight wedding band, it hasn’t arrived yet, probably won’t for another 2 weeks, but here is them edited together.

 Oh and I am a size 4.5

So my engagement ring is a size 4.25 (I don’t want it spinning) width is 1.3mm.

The emerald diamonds half eternity is a size 4.75 as it’s thicker, and the width is 4mm!

The small little Art Deco band is a Size 4.5 and is 2mm wide.

And my wedding band is a 5 stone Halo, which is 6mm wide!

I think it doesn’t have to be the same width to be honest! I love every different detail to each ring.

Hello 🙂 my finger is a 4 and the ring is a 4.25 (big knuckles!) and I have a 1.5mm band. Hope this is helpful!

My finger is size 4 and the engagement ring band is 1.4 mm or 1.5 mm, I believe. It’s really thin.  I kind of wish I had gone with 2 mm, so I may have it reset one day.  My wedding band is the same width.  They’re both really dainty and I really love how simple they are.  Anything with more diamonds or slightly thicker meant it would stick out more and not match my engagement ring, but if you don’t mind that, then go for it!

This is a 2.8mm e-ring with slightly over 3mm wedding band on size 4.

As far as matching thickness, its completely personal preference. I find when they different from one another, it makes for a nice contrast.

The ring you have chosen is so classy and elegant!

My engagement ring is 2.5mm (size 4) It has a taper illusion in the centre. For comparison these are 2 bands I’m considering, both are also 2.5mm

My engagement ring style is really similar to yours so I thought I’d post to give you an idea of what it might look like. It tapers like yours from 3mm in the back to about 1.8mm near the pears. My ring is sized at a 5 though just for reference.

@PotionsMaster007:

My rings are size 4. At first I had my ering and wedding band both at 2mm but I found that the pave of my ering was dwarfing my wedding band, which was a plain gold band. I went up to 2.5 mm wedding band and feel that they work together well now.

Pictured ering 2 mm, wedding band 2.5 mm

I had the same dilemma! I’m size 4 and my e-ring width is around 2.3mm. I don’t find it too thick.
