wraith1526:  it’s a ring from moissaniteco.com

Not sure if you know what moissanite is or would consider a diamond alternative, but it’s an absolutely gorgeous stone and gorgeous ring. My brother in law had my sister in law’s ring made in platinum and it is absolutely stunning. The stone is beyond gorgeous! I have a moissanite ring as well and much prefer it to my original diamond engagement ring. 🙂 (in terms of the stone itself) 🙂

Mines from BN, but technically it’s not a solitair because of the paveimage8

wraith1526:  yes, totally! I’m a size 5. My ring is 1 ct, G, SI1 (eye clean), GIA XXX, ideal cut.

I decided to go with the 4 prong because I wanted to actually see the diamond. I felt that the 6 prong would “hide” it. That was our opinion.

If you need more pics I can post more. We found it a little difficult to get pictures of this setting, especially side views.

You asked about Blue Nile rings, but have you heard of James Allen? It’s a similar concept online store but you get to see videos of the actual diamonds and their certificates before buying instead of just the cert like Blue Nile. They seem to have a lot of somewhat similar settings from what I’ve seen, and my boyfriend and I have had great customer service with them.

wraith1526:  Thank You!  My center stone is an unenhanced moissanite and I find the contrast with the rose gold makes it appear whiter.  The diamonds in my band though, are F color and I see a hint of warmth, especially when I compare them with the diamonds in my WG band that are also F color.

Blue Nile French Pave setting in platinum…2.0 mm.  There was a gorgeous blue Nile setting from their own collection that also had diamonds on the bottom half of the prongs (is it called the basket?) you should also look at….it only holds diamonds up to 1.8 carats or i would’ve got it…also, you can also order the loose diamond from BN then have it set in your own setting

Also…have you gone to a store to try on different settings? See what you like? My fiancé and i both thought we liked a plain band until i tried on a pave band!

wraith1526:  no, that I’ve noticed. But I’ve been really careful. I got engaged a week ago so I take care of it like a baby. LOL!

The setting sits high and that’s what I love the most about it. I think it depends on the size of your diamond.
