bpositive :  hey girl! You’re such a sweetheart; it always makes me smile when you pay my ring such nice compliments, so thank you! I was wondering if you’d tried a different phone case when I saw your pic cause your stone is throwing pastels like crazy–absolutely gorgeous!  Was the one you posted in this thread a recent one with the new phone case? (We should start an old cut thread cause I wanna see more pics!!)

This is my just under 1.60 ctw double halo engagement ring with a SI1, I color pear shape natural diamond. I have many different bands that I wear with it…it’s fun to completely change the look of it with the different bands I wear. Sometimes I wear just 1 band and other times I wear a stack of 3 bands! Love it. I also sometimes wear it with the point up, or the point down.

This ring is extremely special because of the pear shape diamond. My husband and I met in college in our Western Religions class. On the first day of class, our professor made us play an ice-breaker game where we had to say our name, and then add a favorite food or drink to it. Example, Anne Apple or Briana Beer, etc. He was William Whiskey and I was Paula Pear…we then (supposedly) we’re supposed to remember people’s names or at least their favorite food/drink. Ever since that day whiskey and pears have been special to us. So, imagine how my heart melted when he proposed with a pear shaped diamond ring!!! I’m so in love with this ring and when I look at it, it reminds me of the incredible journey hubby and I have been on since the day we met! ❤️

He was set on an asscher cut, which wasn’t my favorite as the straight angular lines just seemed too harsh to me. But as we looked at rings and diamonds I fell in love with step cuts, their hall of mirrors effect, and their bright flashes of fire. I picked the setting because it seemed timeless–clean lines combined with an antique vibe–and because I loved that the side profile allows you to see the shape of the diamond and sit flush with a straight plain band. 1.2ct center on my big 9.25 fingers — was so bright and reflected all the light in the yard this afternoon despite desperately needing a clean.

Here is my wedding set with my husband taken the day after we got married. Diamond bracelet was a wedding gift. I’ll look for my GIA appraisal for the specifics if interested. Center stone of my engagement is  2.56CT

Here’s mine! I got a good one today. I like to wear my band when fiancé isn’t home 🤣

2.5 ct/9x7mm moissanite elongated cushion cut. Ring is 5, I’m more like a 4.5.
