So my main wedding dress was not Sue Wong (wanted a big ballgown!), but I had a Sue Wong reception dress! I am absolutely in LOVE with her dresses, I drool over them all the time! I die and have to talk myself out of buying more every time they go on sale on Rue La La or Ideeli (which is where I bought my reception dress for an amazing deal!

I don’t have pics of me in it right now, but here is the model picture of my reception dress! It was such a fun dress, and so well made! I got so many compliments on it!

@lealorali:  Oh, how did I miss this thread – my dress was a Sue Wong and I loved it.  Less beaded and glamorous than some of them, but perfect for my beachfront wedding!  Yours is gorgeous – love the beading and color!  Here’s mine (sorry, kind of weird pose but it’s the best pic of the dress itself):

 @ChemistryBride:  Ooh, gorgeous!

I keep trying to think of a reason to buy another Sue Wong – I love her cocktail dresses and there are some beautiful ones out there now in different colors and styles… sigh…

@lolot:  I bought my dress (above) at one of these sales. It normally retails for ~$500, but I got it for $107! They have some amazing deals on there! I check every time they have Sue Wong, but I haven’t been able to convince myself to get another one despite how much I want one. I just don’t have enough formal occasion! I am still dying for another opportunity to wear my reception dress, but the only events I go to fancy enough for it are weddings, and I wouldn’t want to draw attention away from a bride in my sparkly dress!

gorgeous dresses! Do the ideeli sales happen often? i would be interested in getting a bachelorette, reception or rehersal dinner dress there, but feel its still to far away and i don’t know what the plans are yet!

@FoolsintheRain:  I’ve been keeping an eye on ideeli since I got engaged in early August and I think this is the second time they’ve had a Sue Wong sale.  So every few months, maybe?  If you sign up, you get notification emails on what the sales are that day.  No other way to know unless you check the site every day.

@ChemistryBride:  That’s an awesome deal – what a fun dress!

All of these are really gorgeous.  I’m hoping mine turns out well 🙂

@lolot:  They don’t have dedicated Sue Wong sales very often, but they often sell Sue Wong pieces in general dress sales! I usually see a sale with some of them at least once a week. Same thing with Rue La La.

@lolot:  Stunning – love the neckline, the beading up top, and the color!

@ChemistryBride:  Good to know that they include Sue Wong in the regular dress sales – I’ll keep my eyes open for those!  Though I need an occasion to wear another of her dresses – like you, I don’t have many that would qualify!  🙂

@LaughLines:

@lealorali:

Thanks!  I hope it looks flattering on!  If so, yes, I’ll wear it as my wedding + reception dress.  Lealorali, yours is so so beautiful – I love the bodice!!
