Fiance and I are starting to look at wedding venues and are pretty overwhelmed by it all! We would prefer the ceremony and reception to be at the same location, but are willing to compromise. At the moment, the number one contender is Curzon Hall. I have had my heart set on it for years, but I am concerned that it will be very expensive! I am waiting very impatiently to hear back from them regarding a quote!
Where did you have your reception, and how much was it per head? I am really new to this, and don’t have a clue as to what is reasonably priced and what is expensive. Can anyone help break it down for me?
Does anyone have suggestions on venues with a similar vibe to Curzon Hall?
Thanks Bee’s 🙂

Just wanting to say congratulations!
Curzon Hall is phenomenal, I looked there but the going rate was about $140 per head, and being fromt he Northern Beaches, I didnt want my guests to have to drive and not be able to enjoy themselves so we have chosen Mona Vale Golf CLub, less extravagant but the view is amazing and it is $120.00 and still have that “garden wedding” feel as you get married on the grass there, but I must say it is nothing compared to the Curzon Garden Ceremony area!

My Fiance and I were also interested in Curzon Hall but what turnes us off was that you share the venue with other bridal parties on the same day, and read some bad reviews.
We found our venue when my Future Sister-In-Law went to an expo there for another friends wedding and brought us home a brochure. We booked in to see the place and after we had we stopped looking. It is just perfect. Not only is the place exclusively yours for the day but they are so accomodating, nothing is to hard.

So we ended up going with Curzon Hall 🙂 As soon as I saw it in person, I was in love and new it was the place! It was quite expensive, but we compromised and are having the wedding during the week which brings down the price and means we won’t have to compete with as many couples! Thanks for the replies 🙂

@Eternalrose89: Loxley on Bellbird Hill looks amazing. I want a wedding away from the city and am looking for places and ideas and this looks wonderful. Thanks for the suggestion. Please let me know how it all comes together.

Can you post some pictures of your wedding? Especially the wedding reception at Curzon Hall? Is it an indoor reception or outdoors? By the way, congratulations! 🙂 I am actually planning my wedding reception at Westella Renaissance. So far it is more affordable, it also looks like luxurious same as Curzon hall. I haven’t contacted Westella, I hope it won’t cost $140 per head.
Any thoughts on best wedding venues sydney?

Our ceremony was in the Eternal Garden of Curzon Hall and our reception was in Fishermans Wharf Chinese Restaurant at the Fish Market.
Our reception had to be at a chinese restaurant to accommodate all the elderly who only eat chinese food. Eventhough the food at Fishermans Wharf was fantastic, if we were able to choose our reception, we would’ve loved to have our reception at Curzon Hall too. It is a really lovely venue!
