ceebees :  I can recommend Cook Islands (we’ve done that for our honeymoon).

It’s unique, absolutely stunning and totally secluded beaches!!…It’s best to work with a travel agent as they’d know best and have scored us the best deals in airfare.  Cook Islands are similar to Hawaii (on the same timezone!) but they’re like what Hawaii was 50+ years ago.  Just beautiful… bluest clearest waters! Much cheaper than Hawaii too… I worked with this agency (they’re in Canada but they can also help with U.S. I’m sure): http://www.downunder-travel.com/south-pacific/cook-islands/cook-islands-holiday-escape.aspx

Not a place but, search for destinations on Kiwi.com! You can pick from a city and all nearby airports, or search for all airports within a radius, pick a departure date and set a return date to Tuesday + or – however many dates you want, and it’ll show all your options by price! It’s sooo fun to use 🙂

If you decide against Greece – I want to throw in Mozambique – you can add on a safari and do beach and animals 🙂

ceebees :  if you fancy Croatia how about Montenegro? You can drive from Dubrovnik and it’s absolutely beautiful and largely unspoilt by tourism!

We’re doing Japan! Typical tourist type things in Kyoto, Osaka, and Tokyo (including day trips to Nara and Hiroshima, and a kobe dinner) and some relax days in Hakone & Atami. If you go farther south there’s tiny islands with nice beaches =)

ceebees :  Bermuda is blessed as it doesnt have an active hurricane season compared to its caribbean counterparts. August is fine.  The big ones arent usually a threat until late sept/oct.  But even then there are some years with nothing.
