I had the rare opportunity to see the Royal Air Force Red Arrows perform yesterday! They were incredible!! You should be proud to have such an awesome team! As I was arriving at the show location, 4 of them happened to fly directly over my car – I swear they were only 200 – 300 feet above me. They came from behind and it was kinda freakish to hear them and then suddenly they filled my view. Just incredible. They flew for about 40 minutes and did some amazing stunts. The US Blue Angels were there too, who are equally great, but I really liked the RAF bright red jets and some of the “art” they created with their colorful plumes!
Schedule/info for the remainder of 2019 is here: https://www.military-airshows.co.uk/press19/redarrowsschedule2019.htm
There are several more shows in the US – highly recommended!

I’m from the UK and have had the pleasure of seeing the red arrows on a few occassions. However I was recently in Chicago where I was lucky enough to catch the airshow (probably the same one you saw that has been touring the states!). It was one of the most incredible things I’ve seen in a while…. I LOVED it!

We have a big airshow over the beach where I live in the summer so I have seen them fly by a couple of times but never really seen a proper show. People go mad for them.

I live about 20 minutes away from RAF Scampton where the Red Arrows are based and it really is fab. They’re always out practising so we get to see them a few times a week, I think we forget how special they really are!
