Mrs.Z.: Thank you so much! I am standing on a pedestal, but I will need to get I hemmed. I’m 5’4″ and am going to wear flats. I think with your color choice it’s not like it’s a bright green or red so I feel like your fiancé shouldn’t have a problem with a little color. I know for me white really washes me out, so it is nice to have a little color to complement my skin tone.

jwalmsley: Thats why the train looks longer! I swear the Olivia is actually one of the most flattering dresses for petitie brides! I love how it floats! I am 5’6 and have to wear flats since the dress is JUST long enough when I am flat footed. I might be able to get away with 1 or 2 inch but we are getting married in a garden so I think flats are a better idea. I am looking for grey flats that are delicate and very wedding like or perhaps hippy type silver sandles??? I am not to sure yet.

Mrs.Z.: I was thinking of doing a strapy blue sandels, since our ceremony is outside I’d rather not be sinking into the ground. Plus I hardly wear heals so I always end up whinney in them lator on. Although my fiance is 6’5″ so we will have a bit of a height difference. You had asked about what size dress I got, mine is a size 4. The bodice is a little big for my boobs, but I think if I have the cups installed and it taken in a little bit it should hopefully fit better. There were a few wrinkles in the fabric by my butt and stomach area but the bridal salon said that when they press the dress that should take care of that. I love how it floats too!!!! Also just how light and airy the dress feels 🙂

jwalmsley: I have to get cups added too! I might get tulle straps as well to give it added support.

Mrs.Z.: hope it goes well on Monday! Yes please share what you end up doing. I had seen also a bride who did spaghetti straps that crossed in the back that looked really pretty/ cute!

Thank you so much for sharing those pictures! I loved she was a redhead too 🙂

I was thinking of taking the flowers off the bodice and incorporating them into the belt and a hair piece… I was going to order more flowers for a hair piece but it is $75.00 for 3 of them :/

Hi Wtoo Olivia Brides.

3 years ago, I posted to get your help with making the Olivia dress my own, and realized I never posted final photos of the dress. I added straps that tied at my shoulders and opted for a braided, bohemian hairstyle (although in hindsight, I wish I wore it down with a flower crown around my head). (Alterations by Janene’s Bridal, Photography by Nima Salimi). We went with a peach, lavender and dove gray color scheme which complimented the dress perfectly. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

odell311: Wow! Beautiful! I am having straps added too. I LOVE your straps! I just got spagetti straps since thats what the seamstress felt capable of. They were kinda paniced because of the colour. Hopeing they turn out amazing like yours!

I am going for grey/silver glam accents.
Heres what I have so far: Earrings/Shoes as posted above. Head band.

I am thinking about adding this shrug:
]

Mrs.Z.: LOVE! Silver or gray I think compliments our dress really nicely! Especially since there is silver in the flowers. I’m thinking about the straps possibly too… I’m just fearful of my dress falling down while I’m dancing etc. imfound this necklace while going through my jewelry and am thinking if wear it, it is missing a rhinestone but I should be able to fix that easily.

I am skipping on a veil, but I’m going to see if the lady doing alterations can remove a couple flowers and incorporating them into a hair piece. If she can’t, maybe see if someone else can make something out of the scraps.

What hat color is your Mister wearing? Mine is thinking of sage green or navy blue.

jwalmsley: Thats a great statement necklace! I was going to go the statement necklace route too but with the shrug I am going to make the earings more of the statement.

My Mr. hasnt bought anything yet. He want a gray suite but we will see what happens.

Does your Fiance know the colour of your dress? THe only thing my partner knows is that it is not white. He kept making comments about my dress and finally I had to let him know its not white. I think he thinks it ivory. lol. Hes in for a suprise!

Mrs.Z.: I did tell my fiancé the color of my dress. He kepy asking about it, I finally broke down and told him the other night that I would show him a picture. But, then he decided he didn’t want to see it till the big day 🙂
