Mrs.Z.:  Hi Yes i did, I added 3 more horsehair layers  to the front leading all the way to the back of the dress, following the same pattern and similar to the front two upper layers, it wasn’t cheap my alterations with everything came to more than 1/2 of what i paid for the dress and that doesn’t include what i paid for the additional horsehair i had to order, at the end i ran out for the bottom layer, tried to order more but they didn’t have any until after my wedding date. So i took the one that goes on your waist and used that instead because i didn’t like the idea of tying a bow in the back, look alittle too girly for me so i instead added more flowers which i ordered and had to pay for those too, but it was worth it for me. I worked very closely with my seamstress to ensure it came out how i was envisioning, because once they start cutting that tulle  to make the layers in the front and add the horsehair in the trim there’s no going back. I also added more knetting underneath to give it more puff. i wouldve preferred to add more puff ontop where the bodice ends to lift it alittle put it was good. I am actually going to get my seemstress to repair the dress because it did rip in some places ๐Ÿ™ …. I recomend not to use such a high heel because the dress is heavy in itself and trying to balance yourself with a gown and high heels its challenging. I kept mine at 3.25 and opted with a maryjane style for extra support with the strap accross.

moregel:  well those are some stunning alteratioNs!

i am wearing flats and were not having a dance so I hope not to rip it! I haven’t figured out what to do with it yet, but I am thinking off adding wings and going as a fairy the next Halloween so I can wear it again! Lol.

I finally got to try on Olivia and it WAS in Oatmeal not Ivory like they originally said  ๐Ÿ™‚ loved it, but am ordering it from a store at home instead of where I tried it on. I am going on Tuesday to put down my deposit. I will definitely be adding tulle straps because I was pulling at it the whole time even though it wasn’t falling down. I know I’ll be more comfortable that way ๐Ÿ™‚

I bought the Olivia in ivory and I’m having a hell of a time finding shoes. Would love any suggestions! The wedding will be outdoors on grass, so I was hopping for wedges, but a thicker heel is fine. Just no stiletto’s. For color scheme I’ve got the bridesmaids in green dresses (David’s Bridal “clover” color) and the men will be in a lighter gray suit.  I thought of matching green shoes, but I can’t find anything…and the dyeables that I’ve seen don’t have great wedge options. Any ideas?

I wanted to let you guys know that today I washed my WTOO Olivia in my bathtub. I did not want to pay another $150 for a dress I didn’t want to wear agaiN. It ended up great! Its still trying but I flipped it inside out and let it sit in the tub with mild soap. I scrubbed the bottom a wee bit and than rinsed it off. I flipped it back now and I think it looks great! There is still some dirt on the inside liner at the bottom but the tulle looks refreshed and no worse for wear! I wish I would have taken before pics but i didn’t!
