Well we finally found the Olivia so my daughter could try it on. While she absolutely loves the dress, she hated the color on her and I agree. The color is too close to her own skin tone. Luckly we have 11 months until her wedding, so we still have time to figure out something else.

carrieb:  I felt the same way about the oatmeal. My hair, my skin, the dress – I was all one color! So I went searching for ivory. I found it at a bridal shop about an hour away and they were having a sample sale so I ended up leaving with the dress. It still looks great in ivory! I altered it to floor length since I’m not a fan of bustles, and I couldn’t even picture how a bustle would work with the waterfall of flowers and still look good. I’m a ballroom dancer anyways and trains get in the way, and bustles are heavy and I’ve seen dresses rip and the bustle fall out. Sorry the outmael didn’t work out, but maybe the ivory is still an option. Even as long as this dress has been around all the comments I got were how beautiful and unique it was, and that they have never seen a dress like that. It was perfect!

Does anyone have this dress and willing to resell? I’d need anything around size 6-10 (street size). Preferably looking for oatmeal, but willing to consider whatever color is available! Also is it suitable for outdoor wedding…it looks fairly light, but how heavy is it? Thanks

Hello beautiful ladies,

I’m in the same boat as Trisha above. My wedding is at the end of April and I just happened to see the dress in Oatmeal a few weeks ago! I’ve been trying to find the dress in size 12-16 everywhere but haven’t had any luck 🙁 I tried to order a new one but was told it wouldn’t be done by the end of March and was advised against doing so.

Anyhow, if any of you are willing to sell your preloved dress with me, please feel free to contact me. Thanks a lot!

Ivy

There’s a bridal store in Burlingame that has a great-condition Olivia in oatmeal. You should try them! I’d have bought it but it was too small for me.

Here I am in my Oatmeal Olivia, Fall 2014.

2015-02-08-16-51-27

I ordered extra flowers and horsehair and my mom made me a headband.  The bridal shop I bought my dress from gave me a veil that matched perfectly!  I believe the color was “rum pink”.  I love this dress, and I love all the different ways it is styled.  My bridemaids wore plum, and the groom and men wore chocolate brown suits.  We got married in the forest in a log cabin so we were going for rustic.

erinmeraz:  so I had written a girl awhile back on tradesy who has an ivory one but the listing had expired. She just sent me a message that the dress is still avaialble. It is size 8 (6 street size). I’m torn because I literally just bought a dress which is beautiful, but not really the look I’m going for, but cannot afford to spend more money on a second dress. I can give you her in for if you are interested.

This thread is a little old but I wanted your opinions!!! I’m an Olivia bride- I bought the dress in ivory. I’m having a Harry Potter themed wedding so many of my accessories will be in that vein. However- I cannot figure out what kind of veil to wear! I know that I’m wearing a capelet for the reception but I would like a veil for the ceremony and I need help picking one out!

My shoes

I was toying around with the idea of tulle straps. But i eventually decided to just go strapless

This was me 8 weeks ago in my oatmeal WTOO Olivia gown 🙂 was an amazing day. I wore a wired petticoat underneath to give my feet room to walk without tripping. The straps were added due to weight loss and was made using the sash/belt that comes with the dress. I bought a diamante sash to replace it and i wore a fingertip length pale gold veil paired with my fresh floral crown.

Hi all! I know this thread is a bit slow now…but I just bought this dress after loving it since I saw it online like 5 years ago!!!

I was just wondering if anyone had suggestions for the type of veil that would go well with it?

Thanks
